For me it should be smooth and buttery, should feel like velvet and no fallouts .. esp no fallouts for the shimmery ones.
Loreal Infallible Eyeshadows! Soooo buttery and smooth, almost like a cream shadow, and applies flawlessly! Intense pigmentation, no fallout, and incredible lasting power (like I can go 12 hours without it creasing/fading)
Soft, creamy feels velevty smooth.. blends like a dream and so pigmented that just one stroke is enough. Absolutely no fallout, fading or creasing, 🙂
Christine.. your description of your dream eyeshadow made me hungry! haha
Urban Decay!! Oh Yeah
Like Chanel Ombrés Perlées but in all the colors, in a permanent line with maybe the occasional LE. Buttery, line-blurring, opalescent, they are my favorite and I wish I’d bought 2-3 at the time they were released. I hoard these and wish I could find similar textured shadows. I know similarly textured ones, were I to find them, likely will not have the micro-shimmer pearl effect but I love these to death and would test anything similar. Infallible are a bit similar in texture but not in color complexity or application. I’d love some suggestions…
Super pigmented in one swipe, goes on powdery, smooth, and even. No chunks or fallout.
Exactly like yours 😀
It’s easy – Inglot Pearl shadows are pretty much my perfect texture and finish. They are so pigmented and smooth and apply beautifully, and the “pearl” finish so amazingly flattering. I compared 419 to an identical shade in my new Dior quint and the Inglot shadow was actually better on all counts!
I would love a powder eye shadow that is so soft & buttery that it practically feels like a cream eye shadow. And no fallout, of course.
Buttery, doesn’t crease nor fade, easy to apply and blend, intensely pigmented, and without any fallout. 🙂
The ones I can think of that match what I think of as ideal are L’Oreal’s Infallibles (a shame there aren’t more matte shades) and MAC’s matte2 shades.
Cream to powder, but stays creamy long enough to work with it. The BareMinerals Whipped Velvet eyeshadow has a gorgeous texture.
I would love to see an amazing, true cream-to-powder formula. It would alleviate fall-out, and make initial placement of color much more precise. Aside from that, there are more than enough formulas on the market that, along with a good base/primer, do an amazing job.
I also like soft and buttery eyeshadows for the lid and crease, I prefer a slightly powdery eyheshadow on the brow bone for blending and on the inner corner to avoid a caky look from the concealer.
Christine “nailed it”. I would only add that I like my shadows matte and that sometimes does not equate with buttery smooth and not dry.
Buttery and soft, not overly powdery, with no fall-out, and hypo-allergenic, and actually sticking power (my eyelids aren’t crazy about make-up). I have no problem finding crease shadows, but eyelids? They rarely stay on me.
That’s easy!!! Shiseido texture!!! That’s buttery and pigmented. It can be intense and sheer.
cream that doesn’t crease
PIgmented, easy to blend, and minimal fallout
