ColourPop Up the Ante Mini Face Duo Review, Photos, Swatches
Up the Ante
ColourPop Up the Ante Mini Face Duo ($10.00 for 0.24 oz.) contains a medium, red-brown bronzer and warm, gold highlighter. The highlighter was pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing, while the bronzer had solid color payoff but could have been a bit more blendable and less powdery.
Up the Ante
LELimited Edition. $10.00.
Wild Card
Wild Card is a medium brown with warm, red undertones and a matte finish. It had good color coverage that applied fairly evenly to bare skin, but it did take a little more work to diffuse and blend out along the edges. What I did like was that despite having a matte finish, it seemed to look natural and “skin-like” once buffed and blended onto my skin. The texture was slightly powdery in the pan. It lasted for eight hours before fading a bit on me.

ColourPop's Pressed Powder Bronzer is supposed to have a "super velvety-soft" feel that yields a "natural tanned glow." There was no mention of coverage, but the brand's promotional swatches showed full coverage. The bronzers had a soft, silky texture that was slightly powdery in the pan but tended to apply with ease, blended out nicely, and sat well on the skin. The majority of the shades seemed to have a semi-matte to satin finish, which helped them glide on and appear more natural (in finish) on the skin. The wear ranged from eight to eight and a half hours on me.

Wild Card
LELimited Edition. $8.00.
1st Prize
1st Prize is a medium gold with warm undertones and a metallic finish. It had rich color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly to bare skin, though it emphasized my skin’s texture just slightly at heavier coverage. The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy, and easy to work with. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Formula Overview
$12.00/0.21 oz. - $57.14 Per Ounce
The powder highlighter is supposed to have a "high-shine" finish with "high colour intensity." In general, ColourPop's pressed highlighter powders have a smooth, moderately dense texture that was soft enough to be picked up easily by a brush but not kick up any powder in the pan. The formula was semi-opaque to opaque but easily sheered out for less shine and coverage if desired. There were a few shades within the range that emphasized my skin's natural texture slightly but most did not. The wear ranged from seven and a half hours to nine hours.

I’m really loving this duo. Likely don’t need it, but it would be nice for travel!
Oh. And this is the shade that I wish MAC would have used for Baby Girl. Probably still a bit light for those darker than Aaliyah, yet not as pale as what they *thought * ought to be dark enough!
