ColourPop So Vintage & Espresso Martini Ultra Blotted Lip Reviews & Swatches
So Vintage
ColourPop So Vintage Ultra Blotted Lip ($9.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a dark, purpled-berry with cool undertones and a light sheen. This shade seemed more emollient than others in the range and took awhile to really dry down.
- Medium, buildable coverage
- Lightweight, slightly thin, very fluid consistency
- Flexible after dry down but took 30-60 minutes for “diffused matte” finish
- Could have applied more evenly
- Long-wearing (4.5 hours)

Formula Overview
$9.00/0.1 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "medium coverage" that dries down to a "diffused matte finish" with "no cracking or flaking." Most of the shades had semi-opaque to opaque coverage, so they were more pigmented than marketed.
The texture was lightweight, thin, and very fluid (almost watery in a way, that being neither pro nor con!), which made it easy to spread across my lips and get an even application of product. I noticed that the formula was generally forgiving of lip texture/lip lines and didn't settle into my lip lines while drying down.
Most shades took 30 to 60 minutes before they were more matte, or else one could blot gently to achieve that diffused matte finish faster. Once the formula was mostly dried down, it remained flexible and comfortable to wear while feeling lightweight. I achieved four to five hours of wear and felt that the formula was non-drying over time. It had a subtle, sweet scent but no discernible taste.

Not as if I need any more lipsticks, that’s for sure! But, these are both really gorgeous, so they went on my WL anyway.
I quite like the Espresso Martini shade – lovely colour.
So Vintage is so pretty but I have a couple of close dupes or at least they look like it on my lips and they are very comfortable to wear. Probably my most used lip liner is MAC Nightmoth and I like to pair it with a couple of different lippies/glosses. I have paired it with Black Honey Gloss and my favorite pairing is with Rouge Bunny Rouge’s Sheer LIpstick in the shade, “Perfume of His Gaze”. Also my favorite shade name for a lippie. Anyway, paired they make a similar color as So Vintage and much more comfortable to wear.
