ColourPop Shell We Dance Just a Tint Lippie Tint Duo Review & Swatches
Shell We Dance
ColourPop Shell We Dance Lip Duo ($11.00 for 0.14 oz.) contains twist-up lipstick/lip balm hybrids in a medium peach and a coppery brown. Island Time was sheer as described but didn’t apply as well as desired, whereas Nude Beach applied perfectly but was nearly opaque (rather than a wash of color!).

LELimited Edition. $16.00.
Island Time
Island Time is a soft, medium peach with strong, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had sheer to semi-sheer color coverage in a single layer, which could have applied more evenly. The consistency was lightweight, creamy and balm-like, so it felt emollient but wasn’t too slippery. It wore well for three hours and was hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$7.00/0.07 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
The formula is described as "the perfection sheer wash of colour in the comfiest, lightweight, super moisturizing formula." Here's the big takeaway... they are not that sheer; they're not a wash of color. They have medium to semi-opaque, buildable coverage with a few shades being more true medium in coverage; I just wouldn't say they're sheer nor just a wash. That medium to semi-opaque level of coverage still allows for some translucency, which gives the color a lighter look that's more like a stain.
The texture was creamy, thin, lightweight, and balm-like; I'd actually say it felt like a gel-like balm because it had the cushion-like slip of a lip balm but had the smoothing prowess of more gel-based formulas. The most impressive aspect of the formula was how little the colors sank into my lip lines and how forgiving they were with imperfections in lip texture. The wear time varied from two and a half to four hours on me, and the formula was lightly hydrating over time. They have a sweet, fruity scent (passionfruit per their website) but no discernible taste.

Nude Beach
Nude Beach is a muted, medium-dark coppery brown with moderate, warm undertones and a natural sheen. The color coverage was nearly opaque in a single stroke, which was far more pigmentation than expected based on the marketing. It went on evenly and smoothly without emphasizing my lip lines (actually smoothed a few out!). The consistency was lightweight, emolient without being too slippery, and comfortable to apply and to wear. It stayed on nicely for four and a half hours and was moisturizing over time.

Nude Beach is a beauty for fall! Such a lovely rusty brown! Might grab it as a single.
However, Island Time is leaving me feeling flat. Don’t hate it, but don’t like it either. It would look like shiny concealer lips on me, for sure.
Thank heavens, two shades I am not interested in. I am safe from another launch!!
Nude Beach is the star in this duo – gorgeous shade. I find Island time to be a little too flat for my liking in that peachy nude tone.
