ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadows (Part 2) Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Wake Up Call
ColourPop Wake Up Call Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a light, peachy brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which did not seem to build on me at all. When I tried it over an eyeshadow primer, it seemed to look richer but the consistency still seemed thinner and felt firmer in the pan. It started to fade on me after seven hours of wear.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Made to Last
ColourPop Made to Last Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark mauve with warm undertones and a matte finish. It was lightly powdery, though blendable and certainly finely-milled. The eyeshadow had good, buildable color payoff that went on evenly on bare skin but sheered out a bit too easily, so it was hard to achieve true, opaque coverage without a primer. On me, this shade wore for seven hours before fading.

Paper Tiger
ColourPop Paper Tiger Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a brighter, medium mustard yellow with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good pigmentation, which was buildable to opaque coverage in two layers. The texture was smooth, soft without being dusty, and blendable on the skin. I noticed the eyeshadow looked faded after seven hours of wear.

Paper Tiger and Popular Demand are the only ones that catch my eye, now to decide if it’s worth buying.
Note to Self also catches my eye, but I know I have 2 dupes for it.
Paper Tiger is more unique!
These are exactly the kind of colors I’ve been loving lately!
Yay!
Not sure if I can pull it off, but I like Paper Tiger, it’s a more unique color !
It is!
Paper Tiger for the win!!! Well, maybe not an A grade, but pretty dang good for such an intense, unusual shade! Now to pick 3 more….hmmm.
It’s a fun shade!
I just ordered my first pressed shadows from ColourPop yesterday (one of the Valentine’s sets). I may go back and get Paper Tiger as that seems to be a very unique shade.
Can’t wait for you to get your shadows!
I’m loving all of these shades!!! I like a build able/slightly sheer formula. So I think these could work for me!
I already own bel air, and I love it!
Happy to hear you’re loving Bel Air!
Take the Lead could be a useful shade for be, but I would like it a lot more if the finish was just a little bit satiny.
So close!
Not really a fan of these shades – some very similar in shade and in lots of palettes.
There are many dupes!
Very nice colors all around. Take the lead is a real winner. I love mid toned shadows. Being as pale as I am it’s what I often use for definition.
I like Paper Tiger a lot. It’s unique, and I think it would make a great crease shade.
the wish list just grew a bit. There were some colours in this batch that would, I think, suit me.
I do predict an order to Colour Pop this year, even in a not to distant future.
