Hear Me Out

ColourPop Hear Me Out Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a light beige with a satin finish. The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” It had intense pigmentation with a very smooth, cream-like texture that was a bit powdery on the skin when I started to blend it out–where the powder dropped below the brow bone and had a tendency to lighten whatever it was on. I would recommend using a lot less than you think you might need and adding more if necessary to get a good feel for the pigmentation and texture. It started to fade after seven hours on me.

Formula Overview

$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours. The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Fire Fly

ColourPop Fire Fly Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a soft beige with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had good pigmentation (may be hard to tell, as the color is closer to my skin tone) that covered the skin evenly and smoothly. The eyeshadow felt soft, smooth, and was blendable when I used it over bare skin. This shade wore well for seven hours on me.

Locked and Loaded

ColourPop Locked and Loaded Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a soft, buttercup yellow with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was somewhat buildable, but I could not get opaque coverage without using a primer underneath, though. The color started to fade after seven hours of wear.

Liar, Liar

ColourPop Liar, Liar Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a light-medium peachy pink with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had good color payoff with a soft, lightly dusty texture that was blendable and easy to apply to the eye. I noticed fading after seven hours of wear.

Let Me Explain

ColourPop Let Me Explain Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a light gold with warm undertones and a frosted finish. The powder was looser and felt a bit drier, which resulted in an eyeshadow that sheered out very easily and was hard to achieve opaque coverage as the powder would just dust away as soon as I started to blend it out. This one really needed a primer to work decently, even though it seemed pigmented otherwise. It lasted for seven hours before fading noticeably on me.

Bel Air

ColourPop Bel Air Pressed Shadow ($5.00 for 0.035 oz.) is a muted, medium brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had good pigmentation–almost opaque–with a soft, smooth texture that was a touch dusty but did not sheer out immediately, so it ended up being quite easy to work with and blend out on the skin. This shade wore well for seven hours on me.

Did I read this right – $5 for these shadows in that quality??? The swatches look incredible – I’ll have to keep an eye out for the next time they have an international free shipping code!

I had my hopes kinda up that either Fire Fly or Hear Me Out was going to be a dupe for MAC Orb, and Hear Me Out does have it as a possible dupe, but Idk, there’s something different enough that I’m just not so sure. Probably the finish is throwing me off. Because the color itself does look nearly identical to my eye. Not in a rush though, as I do have a b/up of Orb to roll out!

Really subtle shades that are so useful – loved Liar and Please let me Explain. Although we probably have enough of these kinds of colours in our palettes, but sometimes it’s a nuisance to have to dig them out.

Some of these made it to the wish list. I dont need them right now, but it’s good to have the list when I next sit down in front of the C P site.
I really like the shimmery ones and Bel Air looks really good, though maybe not so exciting 🙂

Can’t wait for you to compare the rest of the pressed eyeshadows in the set I’m so curious about running late ❤️❤️
