Plum and Get It

ColourPop Plum and Get It Pressed Powder Shadow Quad ($9.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a plummy color story that featured two shimmer shades and two matte shades. All four shades had semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation paired with soft, blendable textures that were fairly easy to work with; one shimmer was too emollient, so it did not go on as evenly as it could have.

This quad is one of six in a holiday vault, though ColourPop said they would be available individually when I asked, but they have not appeared individually on the site. It’s not realistic for me to review it as a set (takes much longer, but I also started testing them across sets already, and the system is better setup for a palette, not five palettes within a set, for readability!), so I decided to review them individually still.

Plum Brandy

Plum Brandy is a light-medium taupe with warmer undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had opaque pigmentation paired with a smooth, moderately dense consistency that was a little thicker but that helped keep the sparkles adhered to the lid during application. There was still a bit of fallout during the initial application, though. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.

The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Juice Up

Juice Up is a bright, light-medium red with subtle, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The texture was overly emollient, which made it harder to apply the shade evenly without using a fingertip or a dampened brush. It had mostly opaque, buildable pigmentation that lasted decently for eight hours on me.

Get Rich

Get Rich is a light-medium, rosy mauve with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color coverage in a single layer, which adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well. The texture was smooth, lightly powdery but blendable, so I’d use a lighter hand to ensure no fallout. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Royal (Plum and Get It)

Royal (Plum and Get It) is a deep plum with muted, warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was incredibly finely-milled and almost velvety, though there was light powderiness in the pan and a little dustiness when applied. It had opaque color payoff that stayed on well for eight hours before fading a bit.
