ColourPop New Millennium Palette Review & Swatches
New Millennium
ColourPop New Millennium 5-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a new, pink and purple-themed palette that included three matte shades and two shimmer shades. The mattes were pigmented, blendable, and easy to work with, even if a little powdery, while the shimmers were thicker and drier, which made them hard to apply without using them with a wet brush.

Heart
Heart is a light pink with neutral-to-cool undertones and a frosted finish. It had opaque color coverage paired with a drier, somewhat thick consitsency that was prone to applying unevenly to bare skin. I’d recommend using it with a dampened brush, which helped to thin the product on and get a more even layer of product onto the skin. It stayed on decently for seven hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

TRL
TRL is a bright, cotton candy pink with strong, blue undertones and a matte finish. It had rich pigmentation with a smooth, lightly powdery texture that was blendable and substantial enough to go on evenly, blend out well but not lose its opacity. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Friendsters
Friendsters is a medium-dark pink with cooler, blue undertones and a frosted finish. The texture felt drier and almost springy to the touch, which was an unusual consistency to be sure, but it translated into an application that wasn’t as even nor as smooth. It worked better applied with a dampened brush, which gave it more spreadability and smoothness. It lasted for seven hours before fading visibly.

Woot Woot
Woot Woot is a medium purple with warmer, pink undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft, smooth, and slightly powdery but not to the point where it was prone to fallout or sheering out too readily. It had rich pigmentation that wore well for eight and a half hours and left a faint stain behind.

Not bad, but I know that my wallet is thanking me right now, because this one just isn’t for me.
Another pink themed palette – although this is OK, I am wondering when CP is going to get over their love affair with pink.
I thought this was another look at the very pink one you reviewed the other day, Christine (though this has a lower rating, I see) – they look just the same to me and this one has as little appeal for me as the previous one. I echo Genevieve’s thoughts but would extend it across the board …. just in general, enough already with the pink, red and orange! (speaking just for myself and Genevieve, of course).
This is very similar to the Spring drop mini palette called, Statement Piece. They were 5 pan palettes that also came in Lavender, Blue, Green, and Peach. I really liked them and bought them all. I did think the price was high though. They blended well, lasted long and didn’t stain.
