ColourPop Meant to Be Pressed Powder Eye Duo Review, Photos, Swatches
Meant to Be
ColourPop Meant to Be Pressed Powder Eye Duo ($10.00 for 0.10 oz.) contains a shimmering, peachy-orange and a vibrant pink-coral. The lighter shade is very shimmery, and the texture was denser and had more substance to it compared to the darker coral, so they didn’t quite layer as well together as I would have liked. If I diffused the shimmery shade enough, it was workable, especially if I layered the darker coral over it rather than trying to get the shimmer to layer over the coral. This duo is limited edition and part of the brand’s Valentine’s Day collection, but ColourPop is releasing them as singles today.

Bouquet Toss
Bouquet Toss is a light-medium peachy-orange with warm, orange undertones and a sparkling, frosted finish. The consistency was soft, dense but not stiff, and blendable on the skin. It had good pigmentation that applied well to bare skin and lasted for seven and a half hours.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Flowerboy
Flowerboy is a bright, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, velvety texture that was also a little powdery. The texture seemed to kickup a fair amount of excess product in the pan, but it ended up performing quite well on the eye. I didn’t have issues with fallout, and the eyeshadow applied with good adherence and wasn’t prone to sheering out. The color started to fade after eight hours of wear.

Flowerboy is such a nice color!
It is!
Bouquet Toss looks really pretty and would make a great peachy eye-brightening lid shade! ?
It does work well for brightening up the eye area!
Color-wise I think these shades would look lovely together, so it’s a shame that the difference in texture makes them difficult to blend. I’m gad that CP is releasing them as singles, too, because I quite like Flowerboy!
They do look pretty together in terms of the colors!
The colors are pretty! I ordered one of these duos, but in different color, and was so glad it came by Valentine’s Day! The packaging is super cute, and it’s a very affordable, cheery pick-me-up after a long day
Yay! The packaging was sooo well-done. Just perfect for the theme!
I am wearing these 2 shades today (layered over Wattles Super Shock) and a standard browbone shade and I’m really happy with them.
The packaging is ridiculously adorable and yes, you can lift the pans out – they are magnetic, not glued.
Can’t wait to check out the new shades either, I got 5 of the Valentines Day shades and 5 of the new ones. So far, so good from Colourpop 🙂
Some of the most on-theme packaging that I’ve seen! And at the price point, they would have been perfect gifts to give to pals.
I don’t like these shades (too light peachy for me!) but I’m so glad they got A’s for people who do like them!!
Maybe next batch!
These will be perfect for spring.
I agree!
I’m glad the quality is improving with these.
Me too!
I am finding that a few of these shades are starting to look the same….. But I like the idea of having one matte and one shimmery shade. They really complement each other.
I can see what you mean, Genevieve!
I really wanted this but was worried it would be a little too close to the Kylie duo. I think they’re different enough that I can justify it though, so I’m glad they came back as singles! 🙂
