ColourPop Ice Cream Bites Collection Swatches
ColourPop Ice Cream Bites Collection launches today, July 22nd, at 10AM PT. The newest release features six quads with one of those quads being four shades of Pressed Glitter–hurrah for ColourPop finally listening and putting their pressed glitters into their own palette! Here are swatches!
A few of these recall some of the Korean eye quads I own, both in setup and composition. I’m good with my little Rom&nd and Holika Holika palettes but I like the idea of quads in general getting their day against quite large palettes.
I agree! My mom always said that Asian beauty drives Western trends. I also like the separate glitter palette so I don’t feel like they’re forced on me. I don’t like the gel base they’re suspended in.
Are they in a gel base? I can’t tell. Is pressed glitter always in a gel base? The glitter stuff is new to me, and I don’t have any colourpop pressed glitter. How does that kind of stuff layer on top of powder eye shadow?
They have some slip to them, definitely not just glitter 🙂 Some shades are better than others, but they have some tackiness/adhesion on their own.
I hates it! They claim it makes it self-adhering but with my hooded eyelids, they def transfer or fall out and then I get glitter chunks falling onto my face or worse, in my eyes.
Asian brand eyeshadows are big on glittery shades and they don’t suspend them in a base so I don’t understand why CP can’t do something similar (especially if they’re starting to mimic/be inspired by Asian Beauty?). Otherwise, I limit my toppers to something like Stila Glitter & Glows or CP Super Shocks or similar because GP’s pressed glitters just don’t work for me!
I think your mom is right! Asian beauty doesn’t get the credit it deserves for influencing trends elsewhere.
Some of them have A bit randomly colours, In my opinion. Quads are more appealing when they speak a cohesive story overall
I’m glad they made a quad of glitters instead of putting a glitter in each respective quad.
Dang, if I wasn’t saving up for dental work and a new phone, I’d be placing an order including 3-4 of these! The quality looks great!
Yay to them doing a separate quad for the pressed glitters!
I just wish they would focus more on their single shadow collection and BYOP.
Doing a separate quad for pressed glitters is a smart move because not everyone likes them living in their palettes and quads. None of these really appeal to me and I do think that these are shade combinations that we have seen before.
The pressed glitter being separated is awesome. They are smart to listen to YOU Christine.
