ColourPop Flexitarian & Might Be Disturb Super Shock Cheek Reviews, Photos, Swatches
ColourPop Flexitarian Super Shock Cheek
ColourPop Flexitarian Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a light, golden beige with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was very smooth, moderately emollient, and blendable on bare skin or over my base products. It had medium, buildable coverage when applied with a brush and intense, opaque coverage when I used my fingertips. While it looked very metallic in the pot and swatched, once blended, it had more of a medium shimmer finish. This shade stayed in place for ten hours. JD Glow Periodt (P, $16.50) is more shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Looxi Beauty Ever After (P, $7.50) is more shimmery, cooler (90% similar). ColourPop Might Be Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark rosy copper with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-sheer, buildable pigmentation with opaque coverage easily achieved if applied with fingertips rather than a brush. The texture was more emollient and wetter to the touch compared to the majority of shades in this formula (I would say it is comparable to the equally metallic shades in the eyeshadow formula). It blended out easily and wore well for nine hours. Bobbi Brown Tawny Glow (P, $48.00) is cooler (95% similar). Lancome Rosegold Lights (P, $23.00) is less shimmery, lighter (95% similar). ColourPop Whipped (LE, $8.00) is lighter (95% similar). Make Up For Ever 15 Golden Pink (P, $21.00) is cooler (95% similar). Cat Beauty Pink Goddess (P, $9.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
Formula Overview
ColourPop Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have buildable coverage–sheerer coverage when applied with a brush and intense coverage when applied with fingertips–that is long-wearing. It is a cream-to-powder formula that has a very dense, pliable texture in the pot, so it doesn’t have the same wet, emollient consistency of traditional cream blushes–this is more spongy. The texture remains very blendable on the skin, whether using fingertips or synthetic brushes, before it sets to a more powder-like consistency. The pigmentation is usually buildable from semi-sheer to mostly opaque with a more subdued sheen, even when more metallic, on the skin. I get anywhere from eight to ten hours of wear with this formula

I like how Might Be is a dupe for much more expensive highlighters
And even longer wearing, since it is a cream!
Flexitarian… what a fun name 🙂
It is!
ColourPop remains a brand that I need to get my hands on soon! I love the price tan and from what I’ve heard, the quality is impressive!
They have some nice products!
Just ordered Flexitarian! And a few other things. Trendmoods Deals just posted a $5 off code (CPCULTSECRET) which essentially paid for my shipping. Plus you get to pick one of four ultra matte’s for free if you spend a certain amount. I don’t care for the Ultra Matte formula on it’s own, but I love it with a gloss on top. I wasn’t gonna order, but your swatch convinced me, Christine. I need Flexitarian in my life! 😀
How does the gloss breakdown the Ultra Matte formula over time?
I don’t think that it breaks it down at all! I always wear glosses with the Ultra Mattes and they stay put and I don’t notice any breakdown x
Thanks for the code, J-Boogie! I just placed my first CP order in ages to try out their metallic glosses and a few metallic liquid lippies. I got 2 of the freebie Ultra Mattes, too. Really excited to try them all! 🙂
I have to pick up some of these lighter shades! I have wisp but never wear it because most of the year it is too dark for me.
I hope one of the lighter ones works better!
oh wow those are some wonderful highlights!
I am curious would Flexitarian look well against medium tan skin?
I bet it would be pretty, actually!
Love your eye makeup! And you have coppery lips, gorgeous!
Flexetarian is gorgeous, if I ever run out of highlighters I know where to look. As it is, I have Mary-Lou Manizer and it is hardly visible that I’ve used it.
Thanks, Helene!
These both look to be very good quality highlighters. Then again, some of my favorites in that department are from CP; Butterfly Beach, Highly Waisted, Lunch Money. Also, Sticky Sweet, but I use that as a very cool blush!
They are nice! A little more metallic than the average CP shade, though it is more in line with the finish of Butterfly Beach, IMO.
Christine are u really wearing CP flitter on your lips?! If so I am so mad i just ordered it as the website promised a “warm pink with gold” but it definitely is brown on you ugghh!
I’m so sorry, Sue! 🙁 I was wearing Flitter in almost all the photos for this set except for the ColourPop blushes!
The color is DM in these photos, so if you wanted the warm pink with gold, you did get it! 🙂
oh okay no big deal got it thanks! i was definitely worried n was already starting to think of using it as an eyeshadow base or something as brown + metallic is a little too much for where I live ha…speaking of which do u know if these would be workable as an eyeshadow?! or is the formula too thick? (on the metallics)
I think they are very similar to their metallic eyeshadows 🙂 My only concern would be any shimmer/ingredient safety for eye use!
I know it’s off topic, but I *LOVE* your eye look in these photos!
Thank you, Alicia! 🙂
Flexitarian is so pretty! And I’m quite pleased with that price.
Can’t beat the price!
Pretty but probably not for me.
That makes sense! 🙂
Hi Christine! Thanks for the great review. I find CP’s Spoon difficult to wear because of the very obvious glitter particles. Is Flexitarian similar in the amount of glitter? Thanks!
No, definitely less glittery than Spoon!
These two highlighters have quickly become some of my faves from CP!
