ColourPop Fall 2019 Shadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 3 of 5)
Turntables
ColourPop Turntables Pressed Powder Shadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark, pink-coral with strong, warm peachy-gold shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that felt dense but wasn’t too thick or too firmly pressed into the pan. This shade stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Not OK
ColourPop Not OK Pressed Powder Shadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium-dark copper with strong, warm orange undertones and a sparkling finish. The eyeshadow had rich color coverage that adhered well to bare skin and blended out nicely along the edges. The texture was smooth to the touch, dense but not too firmly pressed into the pan, and picked up well with a brush. It lasted well for eight hours on me before fading a bit.

In Frequency
ColourPop In Frequency Pressed Powder Shadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a soft, muted orange with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color payoff paired with a soft, lightly dusty texture that was blendable and retained its intensity on the lid, so it was easy to work with and didn’t have issues with sheering out or fallout. This shade wore nicely for eight hours before I noticed slight fading.

Bump This
ColourPop Bump This Pressed Powder Shadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a soft, lighter orange with strong, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out effortlessly. The texture was soft, smooth, and not too softly nor too firmly pressed into the pan, so it picked up well with a brush but retained its intensity when blended along the edges. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Twin Star
ColourPop Twin Star Pressed Powder Shadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a bright, light yellow with moderate, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The color coverage was opaque in a single layer, while the texture was soft, blendable, and smooth, though it felt slightly more loosely-pressed. I’d recommend using a flatter brush and pressing/patting onto the lid rather than sweeping to be sure of no fallout. It lasted nicely for eight hours on me before showing signs of wear.

Heart 2 Heart
ColourPop Heart 2 Heart Pressed Powder Shadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a deep, orange-gold with strong, warm undertones and a metallic finish. It had a more loosely-pressed texture that felt slightly drier, so it was easy to pick up too product or have a fair amount of excess kicked up in the pan. This led to fallout during application, and it took a bit more effort to really press and work it onto the lid for an even result. I ‘d recommend applying it with a dampened brush or fingertip, which greatly improved application. It had opaque color coverage that wore well for eight hours on me.

Turntables is gorgeous! Of course I already placed a CP order for Coconuts so this will have to wait. I don’t think I own any dupes and I think it would pair perfectly with a blush I recently got in a box.
Very toasty orange and golden shades; I like!
Turntables and Twin Star are truly lovely and are my 2 favorites. Might need to get them both, even though CP Louie is a dupe of Turntables, it lacks that super strong shift from coral to gold.
CP certainly does world class oranges. (And a lot of them….)
FYI Colourpop has free shipping and $5 international shipping with code FREESHIP.
Really beautiful shades here – I love the golds: Twin Star, Not OK and Heart 2 Heart.
