ColourPop Creamsicle Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Creamsicle
ColourPop Creamsicle Pressed Powder Shadow Quad ($9.00 for 0.21 oz.) includes a shimmery, golden peach eyeshadow, one, pink “glitter metallic” shade, which was listed as not for use around the eye area (it included plastic, or PET, glitter in the ingredient list), and two matte (coral and copper) eyeshadows. All four shades had nearly opaque to opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and blended out without difficulty.

Frostee
Frostee is a light, golden peach with strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque color coverage, which applied with full coverage when used with a dampened brush or a fingertip. The texture was more emollient, almost wet to the touch, and had a good amount of binder, which helped it retain a shinier finish on the lid without fallout as a concern. The color showed signs of wear after eight hours.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Big Treat
Big Treat is a light-medium, peachy coral with warm, pinkish undertones and a lighter, more golden shimmer with flecks of random micro-glitter throughout. The odd part about the inclusion of the glitter was just that it really didn’t add any interest to the eyeshadow–it just resulted in more fallout and making the shade not intended for use around the eye area.
It had opaque pigmentation with a soft, lightly creamy texture that felt more loosely-pressed but was a little thick, so it didn’t have as much fallout as it could have. It lasted for eight hours with slight fallout over time (a lot of the glitter didn’t seem to translate, so there was less to fallout later!).

Dreamfull
Dreamfull is a brighter, light-medium coral with moderate, warm undertones balanced between pink and orange, paired with a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single pass, which applied evenly and blended out well along the edges. The texture was slightly thinner and drier to the touch, but it didn’t impact the application adversely. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

On a Stick
On a Stick is a medium-dark copper with strong, warm orange undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, smooth, and velvety with enough substance to adhere evenly with full color payoff but still blend out with ease. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Another cohesive quad of very good quality, marred only by the glitter shade.
Ah, but this could’ve been a perfect summer cutie quad if not for the PET glitter in that one very beautiful shade, Big Treat. 🤷🏻♀️
I click on your colourpop posts to support YOU. I do not intend to purchase from colourpop until they stop putting pet glitter in their products AND stop creating so much plastic waste in general. Eff fast fashion and eff supporting the profit of companies that don’t care about the environment. I’m sick of being told as a regular person it’s MY job to recycle your trash when companies are the ones polluting everything. I can’t undo five minutes in a coca cola production line if I recycled my entire life.
……yes, I continue to rail on this point even though I know half the people skimming the comments roll their eyes.
I appreciate it, Z! And ColourPop keeps up with Temptalia–whether they read all the comments or every post, I don’t know–but they definitely keep tabs on the site!
Here’s hoping they see our feedback (I’m probably the most obnoxious, but I’ve read many other people raising the same concerns across several platforms) and make some changes to their future business. I don’t hold grudges (except when it comes to discriminating against people apparently *stares at chick-fil-a, papajohns, barilla, etc…*) and will happily patronize any company that has quality business practices.
