Formula Overview
$12.00/0.05 oz. - $240.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "high impact colour that shifts" with a "multi-chrome" finish in "one swipe." It is also supposed to be long-wearing as the "unique formula helps minimize creasing and smudging."
The consistency was smooth, spreadable, and like a whipped mousse, as it was airy and easy to maneuver with along the curvature of the lid without it being overly wet. It dried down quickly but gave me enough time to work with it. While using the included doe-foot applicator worked well for an initial deposit of color, I felt using fingertips or a dense synthetic brush with a fluffier edge was ideal for applying the color evenly. If I just used the doe-foot applicator, it applied unevenly and tended to look sheerer than it actually was when I just used fingertips to spread it out.
They had somewhat visible multichromatic shifts, though they were a weaker shift compared to the multichromes a lot of indie brands put out, which may make them more versatile for those who find multichromes intimidating or hard to incorporate into a look. I found that the shift was more noticeable on my arm than on my eye, where it seemed to be more prone to emphasizing lid texture and looking more metallic-matte than actually metallic, which I think subdued the impact of the shift.
They were most reminiscent of Natasha Denona Chromium Liquid Eyeshadows, which are $28/0.08 oz. (or $350/oz.). ColourPop's formula is more affordable at $13/0.05 oz. (or $260/oz.), but ND's performed better for me.
The formula had a tendency to crease on me initially, so I had to take care to soften and blend out the creasing as it dried down. Once it finished drying down, it stayed on for six and a half hours before fading visibly.

The shade colours are lovely, but the rating is not.
Earth could work for me on my inner corner mobile lid with primer underneath! It’s a beautiful shade!
Well I’m certainly glad I didn’t buy these now! I listed after themwhenthey were first released but knew I should wait until your reviews to be on the safe side.
OOO, I’m soooooo disappointed ! Thought these would be my comeback to making a makeup purchase, but no. What a shame too!
