ColourPop Bling Time Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Bling Time
ColourPop Bling Time 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($14.00 for 0.32 oz.) is a very warm-toned, neutral color story that included five matte eyeshadows, three shimmery eyeshadows, and one pressed glitter. As one might suspect, the pressed glitter was harder to use and seemed sheerer/drier than some of the better pressed glitters by the brand. Otherwise, the remaining eight shades were pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing–very nice aside from the glitter shade.

Like Candy
Like Candy has a slightly darker, pinker-peach base with lighter, more contrasting peachy-gold shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. The color was dominated by the shimmer, so it read more peachy-gold overall. The texture was smooth, lightly emollient, which ensured it was usable both wet and dry. It had opaque pigmentation that stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

So Ultra
So Ultra is a very light orange base with warmer, yellower undertones and lighter, whitish shimmer/micro-sparkle that gave it a metallic sheen. It had opaque color payoff that adhered evenly to bare skin. The texture was smooth to the touch, lightly emollient, and easy to work with using a dry brush. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Money Honey
Money Honey is a slightly muted, medium orange with moderate, warm undertones–balanced between red and yellow–paired with a matte finish. The consistency was smooth to the touch, more velvety and substantial, which helped the eyeshadow apply with full color payoff in a single layer while blending out with ease. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Labeled
Labeled is a light, peachy gold glitter with a transparent base. This was a pressed glitter, so it included plastic (PET) glitter and is not intended for use on the eye area. I found it to be a sparser, slightly drier pressed glitter relative to the rest of the brand’s shades in the finish, though it still had good dispersion of the glitter particles for an “even” finish. There was some fallout/migration when used as a cheek highlighter over an eight-hour period.

Like Candy and So Ultra are gorgeous, could work nicely as one and done.
Also, what a waste of space for the glitter shade…
To me, tbis palette is so, so similar to the Lucky Penny one that came out a few weeks ago. but without the pressed glitter number. I would like to see CP do less mattes and more of their soft shimmers, like the Like Candy formula.
Not bad for such a basic warm palette. But, it just feels like I would only love half of it, and the rest would go unused.
I’ve never purchased color pop but this looks so pretty- nice color story… but I am sure I can dupe
I like the upper row but the other shades are too warm for me. For many, the PET glitter particles will be a problem and some of the shadows seem a bit poorly pressed, with bits of the shadow loose on top of the pans.
I find ColourPop’s palettes so visually appealing! The colours always seem so put together.
