Coloured Soft Golds & Champagnes Eyeshadows Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Clutch Pearls
Coloured Raine Clutch Pearls Eyeshadow ($6.99 for 0.064 oz.) is a bright white with warmer undertones and a pearly sheen. The consistency was soft, a little powdery but there was a creaminess present that seemed to help it bind better when pressed and patted on the lid. It had good pigmentation and blended out well. On me, I noticed fading after eight hours of wear.

Formula Overview
$6.99/0.064 oz. - $109.22 Per Ounce
2022 Formula: The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" and "blendable" with a "butterly smooth" feel. The majority of the matte eyeshadows were quite pigmented, while some of the shimmers were overly emollient, which resulted in sheerer and/or uneven coverage.
The matte eyeshadows have a bit of dryness to them, though they were pigmented and fairly blendable, but they tended to apply best over an eyeshadow primer, which ensured a better base for them to adhere to. The shimmer eyeshadows were best applied with fingertips or a flat, firm (and sometimes dampened) brush and pressed/patted into place, then lightly blended.
I did not love the two finishes paired together as the matte finish was thinner and more powdery compared to the thicker, denser shimmers, so the shimmers often "erased" the matte eyeshadows when blended out.
The formula was different than the brand's original single pan formula that they originally debuted with, and I preferred their original formula overall, though the new one is decent, just not as foolproof to work with.
Original formula review: The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented, long-lasting, and blendable" and come in a variety of finishes. Most their eyeshadows are semi-opaque to opaque with a smooth, blendable textures that are easy to use and apply well to bare skin. The shimmers are slightly dense and creamier to the touch compared to the mattes, which aren't thin but don't have the same amount of slip. They tend to wear between eight and nine hours on me.

Glisten
Coloured Raine Glisten Eyeshadow ($6.99 for 0.064 oz.) is a light gold with warm undertones and a pearly finish. The pigmentation was rich and yielded full coverage, while it had a soft, smooth consistency that wasn’t too dense or too thin, so it applied well to bare skin and blended out well without losing its intensity. It started to crease after eight and a half hours of wear.

Champagne Life
Coloured Raine Champagne Life Eyeshadow ($6.99 for 0.064 oz.) is a light gold with a “cooler” tone to it, though it was still a warmer, yellow undertone. The eyeshadow had a metallic sheen and mostly opaque coverage. It had a smooth, cream-like consistency that was dense but not too thick or too stiff in the pan. The color wore well for eight hours on me before fading.

Glamour
Coloured Raine Glamour Eyeshadow ($6.99 for 0.064 oz.) is a very light taupe with warm undertones and copper flecks of sparkle over a metallic finish. It had excellent color payoff with a smooth, blendable texture that was denser and cream-like but not too thick or too firm in the pan, so it applied easily. On me, the color lasted for eight and a half hours.

I got, and love, Glisten, Champagne Life, and Glamour (especially love Glamour), and can’t imagine why I didn’t order Clutch Pearl as well! I see a second Coloured Raine order in my future 🙂
There’s always a next time for a reason 😉
Glamour is really calling to me. Actually seems rather unique for a neutral.
I think it’s the tone!
Glamour and Champagne Life are truly gorgeous! Even though I have Nars Calisto and UD Snow, I do see enough of a difference to warrant getting these, I think. Or at least I *hope* so.
At least these won’t break the bank!
I like Champagne Life, well named ! I ordered the Queen of Hearts palette and a single (think Side of Olives), will be coming next week. If they are good, will go back for more singles.
Can’t wait to see how they work for you!
These are my kind of lid shades!!! ?
Woohoo!
Champagne Life and Glamour are so, so pretty ?. Being fair that is the kind of shade I can rock on a daily.
Totally agree 🙂
These are all seriously gorgeous.
Agreed!
These are just divine shadows – especially Champagne Life and Glamour – so beautiful and would suit nearly all complexions. Really lovely eye look Christine.
Thank you, Genevieve!
Oh, Glamour is just beautiful.
Very Nice!
