Coloured Raine Neutral Chic Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Neutral Chic
Coloured Raine Neutral Chic 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($16.00 for 0.42 oz.) includes three shimmery, more emollient metallic eyeshadows paired with three matte shades that were on the powdery side and somewhat thin. Independently, they worked decently, but together, the mattes tended to get “erased” slightly when I used the shimmers with them.

Formula Overview
$6.99/0.064 oz. - $109.22 Per Ounce
2022 Formula: The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" and "blendable" with a "butterly smooth" feel. The majority of the matte eyeshadows were quite pigmented, while some of the shimmers were overly emollient, which resulted in sheerer and/or uneven coverage.
The matte eyeshadows have a bit of dryness to them, though they were pigmented and fairly blendable, but they tended to apply best over an eyeshadow primer, which ensured a better base for them to adhere to. The shimmer eyeshadows were best applied with fingertips or a flat, firm (and sometimes dampened) brush and pressed/patted into place, then lightly blended.
I did not love the two finishes paired together as the matte finish was thinner and more powdery compared to the thicker, denser shimmers, so the shimmers often "erased" the matte eyeshadows when blended out.
The formula was different than the brand's original single pan formula that they originally debuted with, and I preferred their original formula overall, though the new one is decent, just not as foolproof to work with.
Original formula review: The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented, long-lasting, and blendable" and come in a variety of finishes. Most their eyeshadows are semi-opaque to opaque with a smooth, blendable textures that are easy to use and apply well to bare skin. The shimmers are slightly dense and creamier to the touch compared to the mattes, which aren't thin but don't have the same amount of slip. They tend to wear between eight and nine hours on me.

It’s nice, but not groundbreaking. I like Table for Two and 24 Carat shades, but the mattes were on the poor side for those who like them.
This is a cute little palete that would be nice for traveling. It’s very straightforward and concise. I do figure that I’m likely covered, though. But not with anything I would ever travel with!
I love the variety of glitter shimmer in Table For 2 – it makes the shadow look so much more sophisticated.
I have this palette itโs adorable! The mattes have great quality. The shimmers are nice as you well.
Personally I’d have switched 24 Karat with First Kiss in the palette. For me, two golds side-by-side seems a bit odd (or is it me who’s just odd??)
