Pink Pop

Clinique Pink Pop Cheek Pop Blush ($25.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a soft, medium rosy pink with very subtle cool, blue undertones and a luminous sheen. It’s almost neutral, but it leans a little cool-toned against my warmer skin tone.

The texture of this shade was soft, smooth, and incredibly blendable on the skin. It had excellent color payoff that can be sheered out or built-up for true-to-pan color. I’m so pleased to be able to report that thus far the new shades are measuring up to the original four that were released in formula. I think a lot of the magic in the formula is the finish: a satiny, luminous sheen that gives skin a natural radiance while making skin appear smoother, as it never emphasizes pores. On me, Pink Pop lasted for nine hours on me before fading.

Formula Overview

$21.00/0.12 oz. - $175.00 Per Ounce

The formula is described as “vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless.” The texture was smooth, soft, and dense, so it was never powdery in the pan or on the skin. The blush had good color payoff that was easily sheered out (or you could apply less, as the denser texture makes that easy to control).

It’s the kind of texture that almost blends itself as soon as you start applying and working it onto the skin. The finish became more luminous as I blended the powder onto the skin, but it was never shiny or overly shimmery, so it always looked smooth on my skin and did not emphasize pores or my skin’s texture. Most shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

So pretty! How do I not have any of the pop blushes yet?! I must have been living under a rock! I love the finish..it’s perfect and the price is awesome, wear time is too. I am so happy these are permanent. I see these all in my future!

Oh, I can see what you mean by a subtle, luminous sheen. So much more refined than the NARs Dual Intensity. The color is so pretty and versatile. I just can’t decide which one to get!

Ooooh this shade makes me so happy. I finally got my first Cheek Pops a couple of months ago (because I finally got to see the spouse, and he’s my make-up mule basically). I’m in love and I’m not even a blush person usually! So so so happy about the expansion, and super thankful knowing that you’d review them all on the blog. Thank you! <3

I got Peach Pop and Plum Pop, and I honestly can’t decide which one I like better! I have a feeling I’d wear Peach Pop more, though, as it’s one of those shades that work with everything for me. 😀

So excited for this!! All the original shades were too warm for me, so I’m looking to pick up at least one of the new ones if they’re a better match. Any thoughts on how this compares to Illamasqua Naked Rose?

Anna Avatar

Absolutely stunning. I can’t wait to see the rest of the new shades. I wear either Peach or Berry pop every single day and I would love a neutral in the same formula. Definitely going to pick up some more.

What a pretty shade! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

I picked up 3 out of 4 original shades and I have a feeling I will be adding 2-3 more as soon as these new shades become available!

This looks so pretty!! I think it would make a perfect everyday blush for me…I will probably buy this once I’m finally out of Benefit’s Bella Bamba, which I adore, but I get bored, & always want to find something even better …I think this could be it!When I saw the initial picture, it looked very peachy to me, so I would have never even considered this without your review, so thank you!

I just need this urgently. Yesterday was the lavender. Now is this gorgeous pink. The way things are going, I am sure I will have to reserve space for another 6 blushes in my drawer. (one winking smiley face and 6 smiley face)

This one looks amazing too!! I asked Sephora on their facebook page if they’d be carrying these and when they’d be in stock; they confirmed they’ll sell all the new shades, but gave their release date as “within the next few weeks.” Guess we’ll all just have to drool over the pictures of swatches for a little while! 🙁

I cannot stop wearing the 3 I already have (Peach, Ginger, Berry) and now I NEED to get my hands on this one! The Cheek Pops have easily become my go to blushes. Thanks for another great review!

After your last cheek pop review, (pansy pop) I knew I wanted to try some of these! I went to my local Macy’s clinique counter hoping to pick up some of the new shades, but alas – they only had the original four. I was so disappointed! But I ended up taking home Peach Pop anyway, not wanting to leave empty handed, and also wanting to try out this formula before the new shades hit the counters! Can’t wait!

Hi Christine, how does this Clinique Pink Pop Blush compared to theBalm Instain Argyle? I love this Clinique Pink Pop but afraid that the color will be too similar with theBalm Instain Argyle..
