Clarins’ Palazzo d’Oro Collection: Gold Attraction Face Palette
Clarins Gold Attraction Face Palette ($57.00) is an elegant holiday highlighter from Clarins’ Palazzo d’Oro Collection.
It’s a particularly pretty to look at with the texture and design of the palette itself, and the overall shimmer and shade of it is quite lovely, too. It swatches as a shimmery, sunny yellow gold with just a little peachiness to it. It’s shimmery, has a golden sheen, and it does warm up the complexion (but not in a bronzy way, as Lancome’s Sparkling Cherub does).
I would say it can run a little too shimmery, so if you’re more of a subtle-barely-there kind of gal, this might not make the best highlighter for your face. (For your body? Oh, yeah, dust this on your decolletage for some va-voom!) I don’t mind using it as a face highlighter, though, and if you use a stippling brush (like MAC’s 187), you can get a more toned-down look than if you used a denser blush brush.
Bottom Line: It’s certainly not a must-have highlighter at $57 (which is a little spend-y), but it is an item that is worth a look at and perhaps purchased as a splurge during the holiday season.  The packaging is particularly luxe (has some heft to it), with a brilliant faux gold finish.

I’ll have you know, your site makes me feel very poor. I’m a gold addict. =(
ohhh pretty!
I’ve never seen anything I want so badly! I’ve also never seen anything more outside of my price range T_T
That’s really pretty! I like it, but I hope it won’t make my already yellow-toned skin look more yellow =(
The swatch is pretty! And I know I’m weird, but the palette design makes it look like a boxed piece of a sparkly model brain you’d find in a high school life science lab 😀
lmao love this! It’s does look like a brain from labs!
Though I agree with the above that’s it’s gorgeous, but a bit over the price range.
even that it doesn’t contain those huge size sparkles, but from the picture I can tell why you only give it a B+. The golden silky shimmer looks more like a eye shadow than a face high light. It is possible to become a bronze under daylight. =P
I think it could look good to contour the flat-nose, make it more standing out at night.
I think its pretty and sparkly. (Here comes the “but”)But no one needs to pay that much for it, its too overpriced for something I wouldnt use everyday or even to splurge on for the holidays. Ill just stick with being the queen of chic cheap, b/c usually with these overpriced high end brands you just wind up paying for the name IMO.
Pretty. I have a lot of highlighters and I love them but this not not one I desperately need or want.
This is really a very nice piece, though a bit pricey. And the swatch looks very pretty…love the gold color, and the pattern embossed on the powder.
Wooo that is pretty! But I already splurged on the Tsumori Chisato for Shu Uemura highlighter this holiday season & that one is much more subtle and wearable for everyday.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! Maybe I’ll pick it up, I can’t stop staring at the swatch! Haha.
ohhhh, what a pretty color, i LOVE golds!!!!
I have this and I love it! I think the sparkles only rest on top- like an overspray… So when you keep using it the actual powder is a gorgeous highlight! I did a review on my blog as well 🙂
This is beautiful! I think it would be a great highlighter for me 🙂 but I wish it were more affordable otherwise I’d jump on the offer :(!!
I like it, I think it depends on the amount you use
OMG This Look’s Gorgeous But Oh So Expensive :o( oxo Melinda
$57 ?! WHY GOD ?!
