Charlotte Tilbury Dream Light Pillow Talk Multi-Glow Review & Swatches
Dream Light
Charlotte Tilbury Dream Light Pillow Talk Multi-Glow ($45.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a deeper copper with warm, brownish tones and a high-shine, metallic sheen. The texture was smooth, soft, and blendable without being powdery or too firmly-pressed into the pan, which made it easy to pick up with feathery brushes.
It had opaque color coverage where a little went a logn way, though, so you’ll want to use a lighter-hand if you prefer a softer look. It didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture, but it was a more intense sheen and less “soft focusing” and “blurring” than anticipated based on the brand’s description of the formula. This shade lasted nicely for eight hours before fading on my skin.

Too dark to work as a highlighter for me and too warm to be a blush but I’m glad this scored so well. I’m keen to see the lighter shade and see if I “need” it (trying to dissuade myself because I really DON’T need it).
Sadly, or happily depending on your point of view, I have already purchased the lighter shade. It is due any day now. In general, I am not a huge Charlotte Tilbury fan. I really don’t like anything except her Flawless Filter, lipsticks and lip pencils. I saw this and for some reason, considering I just purchased the Chanel, I had to have it. It was considerably cheaper than the Chanel and I might have preferred to go with this. I do love the Chanel so doubt I could actually regret purchasing it. We will see how this compares when it arrives. The lighter shade looks like it will be perfect for my skin tone, fingers crossed.
I’ve 3 or 4 of Dior’s highlighters/luminizers and I’m thinking the light version of this from CT might be so similar as to make purchasing it kind of pointless. The only Charlotte products I’ve liked have been the 2 eyeshadow quads I purchased within the last 9 months or so (blame Genevieve….she started it). I’m not wow’d by anything else of hers I’ve seen or tried and a lot of her stuff seems to be getting kind of redundant.
The eye shadow problem I have had is with 4 pan palettes I purchased while in British Columbia on vacation. I purchased 2 quads for me and 2 for my daughter and we both disliked them. I got the Vintage Vamp for me and her and then Rock Chick and The Cosmopolitan. We also each got two of her Eyes To Mesmerize. The palettes had good pigmentation but creased something awful regardless of primer and as the day went on, the mixed together and muddled into one ugly color. There are just so many better shadows and for the price for four shades, I void I was never buying anything else from her. I am so petty but I really hate how she starts every conversation whether in print or video with “My darlings”. Just not for me!! I do understand that she has revamped her formula since then so she likely has made it better as overall, they have been getting better reviews. Dior and Chanel are sort of my go-to for quad/quint palettes. I almost always buy one from each collection twice a year. Recently, I haven’t purchased any just because I have so many. Most of them are beautiful. I missed the Mediterranean LE release and I regret passing on that one. It was a light shade that gave a beautiful everyday kind of look. The Dior highlighters are gorgeous also. I have a couple I think in 01 and 02 if I am not mistaken.
I have The Rebel (all thanks to Genevieve and then the Sephora near me finally getting the line in-store) and The Rock Chick and I just love both of them. I find them excellent but all her other quads just don’t appeal to me, colour-wise. I know what you mean about the “darlings” thing and just that whole “is it me or is it magic?” when one of her products came out (and then I think that whole magic concept got applied to a lot of other stuff, none of which is “magic” and much of which is just bog-standard face cream or foundation!
Dior highlighters….so swoon-worthy! I’ve still got (and use) the Rose Diamond Shimmer Powder (it’s got to be 10 years since I bought it) and 2 gorgeous cool-toned/pink leaning highlighters (both are now discontinued/replaced with newer versions). I don’t think I’ll finish any of them in my lifetime but I treasure them.
This is quite a lovely cheek product. For some, it will be a highlighter. For others, a highlighting blush.
If it had the lighter and deeper shades next to each other and not the lighter separated as they are now, I guess it would be a great travel highlighter/blush duo for me. Lovely shades, altogether.
Not my shade – but it does look lovely on you Christine and I like the multi tonal effect too. Glad to see it rated well.
It’s cute and unfortunately looks very similar to Ofra Bali highlighter that I got for 1/3 the price. I’ll be more interested when CT moves on from the Pillow Talk shilling. Please. Please move on.
