Release Date + About the Launch

For her latest collection, CHANEL Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer Lucia Pica draws inspiration from the muted shades, soothing light and powerful stillness of the desert. An ethereal landscape where windswept sands meet the sky, and deep earth tones unite with a golden sun.

Using filtered Polaroids to bring the desert into focus, she reveals a palette of peachy rose hues, cool browns and romantic mauves combined with matte and shimmery textures. A soft and sensual collection. A dream to remember.

I’m relieved to be able to say that there’s nothing here that is really grabbing my attention, heart or eye. The more neutral of the 2 quads is nice but so ordinary and dupe-able and it looks like Chanel is STILL confused about the meaning of “mauve” (remember the Blurry Mauve quad that was anything BUT mauve?). Since Chanel is not easy for me to get hold of, I’m actually quite happy.

Ooh, the plum liquid eyeshadow! The model looks so pretty in her color-coordinated jacket and makeup, but dang am I tired of the pink and orange eyeshadow color story. How many years has it been now? 3? But, I do like the overall muted themes. Very pretty.

It has been a long time since I’ve seen a collection that grabbed my attention. From the liquid eyeshadows, lipsticks, both es quads, even the nail polish- not that I’d spend on a chanel. I’m looking forward to swatches!

This collection is beautiful; I want so many things from it!! Maybe something when my birthday rolls around in February. I love both eyeshadow quads and the lipsticks.

I guess we are going toward a warm, muted, quit lovely summer. I like all I see, but I don’t feel the need to buy any of it as I probably have good enough dupes for most of the stuff. Maybe the plum liquid eye shadow might tempt me enough, we’ll see.
