Chanel Sibylla (786) Rouge Coco Gloss ($30.00 for 0.19 oz.) is a medium, pinky coral with subtle pearl and a high-shine finish. It had medium coverage, which did not build up, and a creamier finish that resulted in slight color getting into a few of my deeper lip lines (though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance). The gloss had a lightweight feel and was easy to spread across the lips for even application. It had a smooth, gel-like consistency that was comfortable and lightly hydrating over the four hours this lasted for.

The consistency has a smooth, lightweight texture that can feel more like a gel-like texture with some of the sheerer shades and more like a cream and gel hybrid with more opaque shades. It’s a formula that’s comfortable to wear with light tackiness that lasts anywhere from two to four hours and is hydrating over time.
There was a strong, mirror-like shine across the shades that was very reminiscent of the prior Glossimer formula. There was a faint floral scent, and with some shades, I got a subtle taste of perfume. The doe foot applicator was more unique (at least, to me) with a very curved edge that was great for my bottom lip while flipping it gave me a more paddle-shaped edge that worked better for my top lip.
I would love to see Chanel introduce color descriptions on their retail website, especially for a formula like this where there can be such a huge difference in pigmentation (and finish) from one shade to the next that isn’t obvious from a product photo.

Chanel Parthenope (788) Rouge Coco Gloss ($30.00 for 0.19 oz.) is a medium, peachy gold with warm undertones and fine pink and peach pearl. It had semi-sheer pigmentation with a smooth, lightweight texture that wasn’t sticky and was comfortable to apply and to wear. The downside was the color was on the milkier side of the spectrum, so there was a touch of product that gathered in my lip lines. This shade wore well for four hours and was lightly hydrating.

Chanel Aphrodite (792) Rouge Coco Gloss ($30.00 for 0.19 oz.) is a blue-tinted clear gloss with barely-there sparkle. It functioned as a clear gloss that “cooled” my natural lip color, so my lips appeared pinker overall, along with a mirror-like shine. I’ve never been entirely sure why brands release neon-like colors in tubes that translate as virtually clear in practice, and this isn’t the first time I’ve seen it from Chanel in their gloss range. I wish that brands would do a better job at describing their shades to customers–e.g. tell me this is a translucent blue–particularly important in a range like the Rouge Coco Gloss line-up where they intend for coverage to vary from shade to shade! It was comfortable to wear, mostly non-sticky but plush, and lasted for four hours on me.

Chanel Poppea (794) Rouge Coco Gloss ($30.00 for 0.19 oz.) is a muted, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a jelly-like shine. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that covered the lips evenly and smoothly. The high-shine finish made my lips appear plumper, too. The gloss was lightweight, mostly non-sticky, and comfortable to wear as it felt almost gel-like applied. The color stayed on well for four and a half hours on me.

Sibylla and Poppea are both pretty enough. However, since I usually only go for a sheer gloss to use as a topper, I just don’t feel moved to plunk down $30 for something I’d only use as such and not on its own.
I hesitate to spend $30 on a lip gloss since it’s plenty of good drugstore options. Poppea is pretty though.
These are pretty shades, but I think at this price point it would be more feasible to go with a less expensive dupe.
I love these types of glosses, the sheer, juicy, jelly like ones!! But I can always find this finish at a much cheaper level, for me and my needs!!
I’m just so happy to see gloss options. I hate the feel of lipstick, especially the matte look that’s so popular, and there just aren’t the same amount of gloss choices anymore! I love all of these. I am a child of the 90’s and 00’s…give me my gloss!! LOL!
Sad about Aphrodite, I totally agree with what you said about brands releasing neon shades only for them to be clear glosses in the end.
I’m happy Poppea did well though, I still have to look in both my collection and wishlist to see if I have something close enough. Oh and the dupes list too.
Sibylla is gorgeous!!!! Definitely on my list. I love Poppea too but have some dupes for it.
I like all these but with my dark lip color these could end up getting lost on me.
I’m not usually a fan of glosses, but I’m always intrigued by ones like this that make the lips look so good! These remind me of a few of the Nars lip glosses they had a while back that just add a slight tint, but high shine to the lips! Very pretty!
