Chanel Spring 2013 Makeup Collection: Printemps Precieux de Chanel

Chanel Spring 2013 Makeup Collection: Printemps Precieux de Chanel

Named for the precious beauty of Spring, the new colour collection PRINTEMPS PRÉCIEUX DE CHANEL celebrates Gabrielle Chanel’s codes of simplicity and sophistication. Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup Peter Philips channels the season’s splendor with a collection of contrasts. Elegant neutrals complement softto- sultry pinks on face and lips, while nails are adorned with vivid polish.

Poudre Signee de Chanel Illuminating Powder ($68.00) (Limited Edition)

Embossed with iconic emblems of CHANEL, the powder creates a naturally luminous effect in two ways. The blend of soft peach and warm beige shades applies with a new sponge applicator for a sheer, radiant glow on cheekbones or with a powder brush for natural, allover radiance.

I’m not gonna lie, i’m a bit disappointed with this. I saw it at nordstrom yesterday and nothing really popped out at me except for that illuminating powder.

The colour selection of the quad speaks to me; hope it is good! The Stylo eye pencils look interesting too. Funnily enough, none of the nailpolish appeals to me (an unusual thing!).

Would you happen to have any info on the eyeshadow duo I spot on the photo? It looks like Sable Emouvant (last summer, LE). It’s great if they’re bringing it back!

A classic collection, nothing new but still pretty. The powder is beautiful and Fracas looks gorgeous ! I prefer Rouges Coco for the spring collections so I’ll skip. It’s the only thing that seems new, in fact RA colours are classic.

I like the way it’s photographed with the paper leaves and flowers. None of the products are really standing out to me. Maybe I’ll feel differently if I see them swatched.

Those lipsticks in the bottom right corner look way too frosty for my taste, but it may just be the lighting throwing me off.

Yes! I have been waiting for this! I have a very soft spot for anything Chanel and I think they always put out some gorgeous shades! Definately worthy of the name ‘high-end’!

It’s available at the Chanel counters! I just bought the illuminator , shadow quad and Emprise nail polish, I can’t wait to try! They are all very pretty but aren’t properly displayed yet. The illuminator looks amazing, I’m sure it will sell out quickly.

The illuminating powder is a must have. It’s the most gorgeous highlighter I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of them over the years. Excellent for us older ladies as it doesn’t show up in the crowsfeet. It’s really lovely.

Chanel is the face of elegance and beauty again! For sure I will purchase at least one product if not more! 😀 One of my two top high end brands, I love, love Chanel 🙂 .

The Illuminating Powder looks more like a work of art collectable than something I really need, but it looks lovely. But I am excited to see if Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour “La Favorite” is worth picking up, or “Or Rose,” “Beryl Lilac,” “Envoutante,” or “Captivante.”

Can anyone tell me which lip colour the model is wearing in the promo shots? I thought it was the Rouge Allure Velvet Matte in L’Eclatante but now i’m not sure! Not too many have reviewed these and the shades seem really bright in the swatches I have seen. If anyone has a link or can tell me, I’d appreciate it!
Thanks Heaps

I tried some of this stuff today. The illuminating powder is fantastic! I really didn’t think I would like the quad, since the browner eyeshadow colors don’t usually suit me, but I was quite fond of it as well. I really liked the idea of the L’Eclatante lipstick, but something about the shade on me didn’t work quite right, so I tried Rouge Coco Chalys, which was similar but looked better on me. That’s not to say L’Eclatante is bad – just a bit off on me. I really liked the Envoutante lipstick as well. It’s an unusual color choice for spring, but that can be a good thing! I have little spots of polish on my thumbnail to think about. Love the colors and the quality of Chanel polish, but none of them have the same originality as Malice in the Holiday collection or Black Pearl a couple of years ago, so we’ll see.

Purchased Frivole a few days ago. I have fair/light skin and while the blush looks too bright in the pan, it goes on softly, and is buildable. It is a gorgeous shade and is wearable even on these cold winter days. I love it!
