Chanel Pygmalion (467) Rouge Coco Shine Review, Photos, Swatches

Chanel Pygmalion (467) Rouge Coco Shine ($34.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “raspberry.” This is a warm, coral-pink with a soft, barely-there shimmer-sheen with a glossy shine. If I had to describe it as a fruit, I would call it more of a watermelon shade–not raspberry. Maybelline Shocking Coral is much bolder/brighter and mor eintense in color but is related. MAC Lady at Play is more orange/coral. MAC Ablaze is more orange and matte. Guerlain Nahema has more shimmer. MAC Hibiscus is redder. MAC Ultra Darling is comparable.

It had semi-opaque color payoff, where it deposited enough color to change my lip color to something else but there was still translucency that allowed the natural lip color to come through. Pygmalion wears three hours on me, which I wouldn’t call “lasting” wear, but the consistency of the formula is very emollient, slick, and water-like, so for something with that kind of texture, it is better than average. It was lightly hydrating while I wore it, and it was comfortable to wear.

I wasn’t compelled to buy this because it’s a bit too sheer for my taste and my darker complexion. It does look lovely on you Christine. You look especially lovely in this photo.

Love, love, love Pygmalion. I already bought two. I love the feel of the hydrating Cocos. This shade pulls pink on me.

I also love Pygmalion, last time I compared it next to Suspense Coco shine, and Suspense came home with me instead. But now I´m really interested in Pygmalion if I buy it that has to happen fast before it´s sold out, I think I could pass by a counter tomorrow to see it again.

Love love love! The first question is missing, but I believe it’s “Is it Limited Edition?” based on your usual format. Since the answer seems to be “Yes,” I’ll have to jump on this pronto!

Hmmm… I passed on Pygmalion because I found it to be way too sheer. I thought it was way more sheer compared to most of the rouge coco shines (the ones that look pigmented in the tube, anyways)

I was waiting for your review before making my decision on this. Now I definitely need it! I love semi-sheer lip colors – in my opinion, opaque lip colors tend to not look so good on my rather dry lips. This one is beautiful! Thank you so much for the review, Christine! Will you be reviewing the Stylo Effect Eyeshadow sticks as well?

It’s probably just that way because I don’t style it very often with heat/tools (I also don’t dye my hair)! The past few weeks, I’ve used primarily Head & Shoulders for shampoo/conditioner, and once a week or every week and a half, I use Aussie’s 3-Minute Miracle deep conditioner instead of regular conditioner!

Okay, that makes me jealous. I also hardly ever use tools, I even don’t blow-dry my hair. But I’ve seen many recommendations on Aussie products on the internet, so I think I have to try out the conditioner. 🙂 Thanks for your answer! 😉

What a lovely shade! It seems that they have extended the wear time of the new Rouge Coco Shines, haven’t they? I think I remember they do not last three full hours (which is a shame at this price point).
I do love the look you’re wearing, Christine. I’ve missed seeing full looks on you. This feels especially summery and fresh!
