Chanel Presage (62) Le Blush Creme de Chanel Review, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Presage (62) Le Blush Creme de Chanel
Chanel Presage (62) Le Blush Creme de Chanel ($38.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as an “apricot.” It’s a medium-dark orange with a hint of rosy pink in it and a satiny finish–not quite matte, but not really shimmery–really a natural-looking finish. Edward Bess Secret Affair is pinker, powder. MAC Ripe for Love is more shimmery, powder. MAC Fiery Impact is darker, powder. Illamasqua Rude is a touch brighter but very similar. Dior Coral Glow is lighter, powder. Chanel Frivole is darker, powder. Le Metier de Beaute Coral Nymph is lighter. Burberry Blossom is pinker, powder. See comparison swatches.
Presage had very rich, true-to-pan color payoff that applies easily at full intensity or can be applied with a very light hand for a sheerer/softer look (just use less). The nice thing about the formula is it has a lightly creamy, thin consistency that blends out very readily, even if you apply more than you wanted. The texture feels creamy in the pan, but as soon as you apply it to the skin, it feels more like powder–with just the smallest amount of slip–that makes it easy to blend. I’ve used an assortment of duo-fibre, stippling brushes, and they’ve all worked well with the blush formula (like MAC’s 188, 159, 131, 187). I wore this shade yesterday, and it wore quite well and lasted eight hours on bare skin with minor fading noticeable after eight and a half hours, and then nine hours of good wear over foundation with slight, but noticeable, fading after ten hours.

Wow! This is such a gorgeous shade, and looks really good on you too. I’m gonna pay a visit to my local Chanel counter tomorrow to see if it’s already available. 😀
Adorable! Love it!
OMG – I’m such a sucker for corals. This has my name written all over it!
Another beauty from this line of Chanel blushes.. I actually have Illamasqua Rude already in my collection so this one is less tempting than some of the others. Looks great on you, Christine!
Thank you, Wendy!
Wow, what a gorgeous color. LOVE this shade
Oh boy. what a gorgeous shade! Love love love it!
You look really pretty in this blush. This is next up on my HE mu wish list, I just LOVE it!
How does this compare to Tom Ford’s Cheek Colour in Flush?
Flush has a redder base!
This is pretty, but would be too orange for me.
That looks so pretty.
Gorgeous!!!! Do you think it would be too much on very pale, neutral but slightly warm-toned skin?
I think it could work!
Reminds me a bit of MAC Early Morning (though EM is pinker, I’m sure, and also a powder) which is too warm to be a good shade on me so this one would be a total “no go” for me. Apricot and peach are just not shades that work for me as blushes since I tend to blush very pink/rosy.
Ah, this is my favorite one! It’s beautiful!
I LOVE apricot blushes and this one is no exception. So pretty!
Wow, you have a way of making thing more tempting. This looks gorgeous.
this shade is very appealing on you!! but i’m a sucker for pinks. A skip for me tho 😀
Hi Christine,
Can you please suggest a drugstore dupe for this.
Hi Swetha,
All of the dupes I could think of are listed of the post, regardless of price point. I don’t know of any others, sorry!
You might want to try Milani’s Luminoso. It’s also a peachy/apricot color
Gorgeous. Oh how I wish to afford luxury brands!!
Just bought this last week before your review came out, no regrets. Seems like it will work well with my dark skin tone.
How is this compared to Nars Gina? I’ve never used a cream blush before, are they harder to apply than powder ones?
NARS Gina is darker, more orange!
the blush looks so beautiful on you! popped it on the list to buy 🙂
I’ve been using this blush for 3 weeks now and I absolutely LOVE it. Best blush I’ve ever used. Funnily enough, I had been pondering Illamasqua’s Rude and MAC’s Ripe for Love, but Presage has taken my mind off those. I’ll probably buy another as extra when it is finally released in the UK 🙂
looks like this would be wonderful to layer with my chanel frivole blush! so glad i picked up presage!
This is a jaw dropping, stunning, my best ever blush Christine!!! Its truly an A+!!! Looks lovely on you!! Just wanted to bring something to your notice…your website takes for ever to load these days.
I tried all of these recently and wasn’t hugely wowed. Nearly bought one to try out at home….until i realizes i was getting about 2 1/2 grams of product. It wasn’t great enough to justify the insane price to product amount ratio.
It’s so pigmented, I don’t see it going quickly – but on the other end is that cream products have a shorter shelf-life, so you don’t really want a lot (technically). I totally hear you – because Chanel’s not going to lower the price regardless of what quantity they put into it, so it can feel small.
