Chanel Spring 2012: Paradis Rouge Coco Lipstick

Chanel Paradis Rouge Coco Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as “pink coral.” It’s mostly pink with a hint of coral; more pink than it is coral, but if you called it pink-coral, I wouldn’t argue. Chanel Flirt is softer, less pink. MAC Blossom Culture is more coral. Dolce & Gabbana Pink is a bit darker.

The color coverage is semi-opaque–it yields a healthy amount of color, but it doesn’t completely cover my lip freckle. The finish is a soft frost; there is noticeable shimmer and sheen, but it’s not metallic or heavy. Paradis applied well enough, but it could have been a little creamier. Rouge Cocos are supposed to be moisturizing, and while I did find Charme to be more hydrating, this one was consistent with the past ones I’ve tried, which is not really moisturizing but not drying. It wore for three and a half hours.

OMG, so pretty. and I don’t even usually wear lipsticks (I usually just prefer gloss) Great, now I just want even more of Chanel spring 2012. Thanks Christine 😉

For some reason this color is kinda hittin’ the spot for me. I also love your eyes here. Any chance in finding out what your eye look is?

Christine, what are you wearing on your face here? I noticed in the last couple of posts (last few days) your face/pics looks AMAZING!! It looks more matte than usual, but just a tad. You look GREAT!! 🙂

I just bought it and love how it looks! On my lips it is definitely more bluish pink than it shows on yours, Christine. Love the subtle shimmer as well.

It’s really a gorgeous shade. I have Paradis and Charme, both are pretty. The entire collection is beautiful and I want more from Les Harmonies de Printemps, the Horizon Blush or the nail polishes !

This color looks really nice on you. Does it make your lip peeled? I have problem with wearing lipsticks as they make my lower lip peel so bad after a few hours. Even when i have lip conditioner underneath it, my lip still peels. What’s the best formula for my issue that you’d recommend? Thanks a lot.
