Chanel Noir Supreme (332) Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Noir Supreme (332)
Chanel Noir Supreme (332) Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow ($62.00 for 0.07 oz.) features four, deeper, smokier shades ranging from olive green to muted red. The formula used in this quad wasn’t the same as other quads in the line; this felt like a cream-powder hybrid, though they were more powder-like as they were thin and had just a touch of the slip I’d identify as belonging to a cream product. As they were deeper shades, two of the shades took a bit more effort to blend out on the whole, but they had longer wear than I normally get out of the quads–nine to ten hours.

Noir Supreme (332)
PPermanent. $70.00.
Noir Supreme #1
Noir Supreme #1 is a deeper, olive green with subtle,w arm undertones and a satin finish. It had a denser, cream-powder texture that felt a little sponge-like initially but didn’t have as much slip as I’d expect, so it ended up working more like a powder eyeshadow overall. If I had to divide it up, it was 30% cream, 70% powder. It had opaque pigmentation with a thin consistency, so it worked better applied with flatter brushes or fingertips to maximize evenness. The color stayed on well for nine and a half hours before fading noticeably on me.

Noir Supreme #2
Noir Supreme #2 is a muted, medium gray with cooler undertones and a satin finish. It had good pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The texture was smooth to the touch, lightly creamy but not wet, and thin overall. It applied evenly to my skin and blended out without difficulty. This shade lasted well for nine hours on me before fading slightly.

Noir Supreme #3
Noir Supreme #3 is a muted, reddened plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in one layer, which adhered evenly to bare skin but looked a bit drier and more ragged along the edges, so it took a bit longer to diffuse and spread out for a more seamless effect. The texture was thin with a touch of creaminess that made it feel less powder-like, but it acted and looked like a powder eyeshadow once applied. It stayed on well for 10 hours before fading a touch.

Noir Supreme #4
Noir Supreme #4 is a medium-dark brown with warmer, olive undertones and a satin finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, velvety texture that had a touch of creamier slip that transformed to a full-on powder once applied to my lid. The eyeshadow applied evenly and blended out nicely along the edges, and this was the easiest shade to use in the quad. It wore well for nine and a half hours on me before showing signs of fading.

I love the look of this palette – very different and interesting. This would work well for people who just do a no-primer swipe of shadow above their eyes, perhaps some eye pencil, and mascara.
Why must I love this quad so much? And, more importantly, why do I?
This very odd, dark, murky combo has me enthralled. I suppose because I can see its potential when one incorporates a few lighter, preferably duochrome shades with it, and KABOOM!
Oh my….this one is aptly named and so sultry looking. That first shade nearly made my eyes pop right out of my head (and then I saw that I’ve got at least 3 dupes!) If I still had a Chanel counter nearby, I’d be twitching to pick this up in spite of #3, which is a tricky colour for me.
This looked a bit scary when I first saw the palette. But looking at the swatches, it’s beautiful and super tempting! I need to resist.
That kind of palette is right up my alley. Because of how thick my glasses are, i have to go for darker shades…or you wouldn’t know I had any eyes at all! lol fortunately though I have dupes so I won’t have to spend a dime on them…but I still may want to haha!
These browns/olives look to me like dupes of each other.
The shades look quite dark in the pan and there’s not much difference between the shades #1 and #4 . However, they seem better in the close-up swatches. Personally, I don’t feel this collection.
I thought that shades 1 & 4 were pretty similar too.
Very cool color combination.
Oooo, I love rich autumnal shades like this! They really bring out the green in my hazel eyes. The cream-like texture sounds like something I’d love too.
When I got over the shock (surprise) of seeing such a dark hued quad (was it my screen?), and saw the swatches, it was much better than I originally thought. I think Shades 1 & 4 are fairly similar, perhaps more of teal blue would have looked lovely too. I think this quad has a lot of promise if you have other palettes with lighter/glossier shades.
Im not tempted by this one but it’s so nice to see this daring, interesting quad from Chanel.
This palette is stunning and is giving me such fall vibes! She will be mine โฅ
This palette is so enticing to me! It looks perfect for a fall evening.
I have this and love it! The formula is quite unique…creamy & pigmented but very blendable and can be sheered out. I’ve started ordering directly from the Chanel website…in the US they offer free 2 day shipping on all orders, 2 deluxe samples of your choice (that come in a very nice drawstring bag w/ the Chanel logo), and the box itself is so nice and luxe. A total treat.
Hello Christine, did you try what seems to be small brushes with the quad ? are we able to use only them for travel ?
It’s really up to you! I don’t know why you’d be restricted to use them for travel only – it’s really more about the type of brushes you prefer. I use my own brushes as it is a better benchmark for testing as I’m familiar with the brushes I use regularly, and they are more comfortable for me to use due to carpal tunnel + longer fingers (short applicators are more difficult to hold and use entirely).
Is it just my product or is there a significant drop in case quality for this quad? Case seems well below Chanel standards… same kind of case for Penombre. Just curious if itโs just me.
