Chanel Mystery Glossimer Lipgloss Review, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Mystery Glossimer Lipgloss
Chanel Mystery Glossimer Lipgloss ($29.50 for 0.19 fl. oz.) is described as a “fresh rosewood.” It’s a soft pink-peach with a creamy finish. MAC Persistent Peach is similar but a smidgen brighter. MAC So Vain is darker, pinker. Dior Pink Veil is pinker, shimmery. YSL Pure Watermelon is more orange. Benefit Spiked Punch is similar but shimmery. Chanel Caprice is a bit pinker and shimmery.
Mystery is non-sticky, lightweight, and very comfortable to wear. The consistency isn’t too thick or too thin, and for a creamy gloss it settles very little into the lip lines–certainly not noticeable from a regular viewing distance. It also applied rather evenly. When I tested it out, it lasted for four hours, which was good. This gloss has a high-shine finish that gives lips a fuller look (just an illusion). It’s a your-lips-but-better kind of shade with better coverage.

I like the color, but the texture looks a bit “drippy”… I feel like wiping your lip, lol 🙂
I thought the same. I have many glossimers, but this one looks “goopy”.
I think it may just be the application :/ (sorry).
GloMinerals’ lip glosses have a beautiful finish that I’ve had no issue with settling. I wish I could remember the name of the shade (Poppy, perhaps) that is very similar to this one.
My sentiments exactly! It looks kind of thick and goopy/drippy in the pics. I love the glossimers that I have, but I think this one is a pass for me.
This seems to be one of those glosses that looks amazing in the tube, but only so so on the lips. I love the color, but I don’t care much for how it gathers in any fine line.
Love this type of colour, but lip gloss prices always choke me.
Ooooh, a glossimer that I actually like! 😀 I love the way these glosses feel on, nice and creamy, but I can’t stand the bits of glitter that can be found in most of them.
I like these kind of glossimers more than the ones with lots of sparkles. It looks like a good everyday gloss. I currently use glossimer #46 for that purposes, which is cooler and tends to mauve (my natural lip shade). I will take a look at this one for sure 😉
So pretty! I really want this gloss–and it would be my very first Glossimer! Yay!
Woah that lipgloss looks amazing. Is this limited edition or something since it is not coming out till October? Or is it just a new product that they are adding to the line? Just want to know if I need to rush out amd get it or if I can take my time (: Haha.
Mystery is permanent 🙂
I really like this. I was thinking about getting this and the other darker Glossimer (name escaping me atm) and now I think this is on my definite list. 🙂
I really like it. Christina, you look lovely as always. Have a nice day and enjoy your weekend.
The color is so pretty and very wearable, I really like it but I’m not really a lip gloss kind of gal. Do you know any lipstick dupes for this? I love your eye makeup, the yellow/gold eyeliner really compliments your eye color! (:
Such a pretty gloss! I love these types of shades…
I love this color, it’s going to be my first Glossimer! And like T_ZWIGGY – so happy there’s no glitter in it! This looks a bit like a peachier version of Gaga 2 lipglass. On that note I remembered my regret at not getting the Gaga 2 lipstick as well, so I headed off to the Swatch Gallery to see if I could find something similar in another brand but *gasp* there’s no Viva Glam Gaga 2 lipstick there! LoL
I think I will go for it! Since I’m not so keen on nude lips it would be perfect if I want to do a smoky eye.
This looks alot like Anastasia Moi to me…has anyone tried both for comparison?
Reminds me a bit of Buxom Mudslide.
The shade really suits you! You look great!
I just want to thank you. I discovered your blog just last week when I was looking for a new nude gloss. After reading numerous reviews, I settled on this one and I LOVE it. Thank you, I never would have even considered Chanel on my own. Keep it up: this is really the best beauty blog because you post wonderful pictures and review everything for multiple criteria.
Yay! I’m so glad you found a new gloss to love 🙂
Thank you!!
I like this color Christine. Do you think it would go well with my NC30 skintone?
Yes!
