Bright Pink That’s Wearable

Chanel Insolente (65) Rouge Allure Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is brightened medium pink with subtle blue undertones. It has next to in noticeable shimmer but has a soft sheen. Like other Rouge Allures, it has opaque color, feels comfortable on the lips, and wears well. I typically get five to six hours of wear with brighter/deeper shades like this one. I wouldn’t describe the formula as overly creamy or moisturizing, but they never dry out my lips and always apply evenly and smoothly.

RECOMMENDATION: Insolente is a happy medium of brightness in a pink. It’s not neon, and it’s not the most traffic-stopping pink ever made, but it’s also a whole lot more wearable, too.

Looks luscious, perhaps a little bit too cool for me… I think for bright pinks Giulette will always have my heart, though the Rouge Allure formula is pretty awesome as well.

wowwwwwww…….I love all the pink shades……I wanna buy them all!
…..this week end is gonna be time for some chanel lipstick shopping!

Looks great with the touch of pink on your cheeks! Just wondering if you prefer Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick or Guerlain Rouge G Lipsticks? You seem to like them both so I was just wondering which one is better? Also which one wears the longest and tends not to sink into lip lines? Thank you for your opinions!

Hey Christine…

Is there a MAC dupe (Girl about town seems too intense and bright compared to this), or some dupe for this color? I absolutely love this pink!!

THANKS

Thanks Christine for the swatches. I’ve been looking for a real lip swatch of this lipstick. It’s such a lovely bright pink color and i’m glad it’s not limited edition because i missed SUPER!
Anyway, i have impassioned already. You’ve mentioned it could be similar do you think i don’t need to get this anymore? How does this compare to estee lauder’s brilliant pink?

I buy this month ago, and i’m absolutely in love with this colour! Passion pinky, with silky texture! Amazing! My favotite for this autumn!

Bit too bright for me, I’ve never really liked pink. How do the Chanel Rouge Allures compare with the Guerlain Rouge Gs? From what I can tell you like the Rouge Gs better, any reason why?

I tried it a while back and it pulled really cool on me. 🙁 To make things worse, that day I had on smokey grey eyeshadow and dark eyeliner. I must have been quite a sight as people were staring at me, LOL.

I still love my Giulette (bought after your gorgeous looking post). Wanna try try MUFE’s Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in #37, but before that, I need your opinion. Are Giulette and #37 similar? They look almost the same in your previous posts.

M Avatar

I’m NC30, so I think Giulette looks a bit lighter on me. So I guess #37 would be brighter, too? I’m mulling between Toxic Tale and #37 (the second wave of Venomous Villains is hitting the stores where I live on Fri, the first wave is totally sold out! There were queues outside the stores for the first wave!).

I did not like the colour that much in the tube, but when I saw the swatch on your arm and your lips, I changed my mind. Very pretty indeed. I would pay the bucks to have it.

I bought this lipstick because of your review
it doesn’t look like bright pink on my lip
it looks more like a red-pink 🙁
I’m quite disappointed
I thought they use this shade on Fendi-spring 2011 runway show, may be I was wrong

I bought this RA Insolente at the same time as when I bought RA Confidentielle and Extrait de Gloss Insolence. They are the perfect mix. None of them is similar to each other. Insolente is my pick me up color. it brightens my face and I always get a lot of compliments when I’m wearing this.

Thanks Christine for sharing.
