Chanel Ingenue & Interlude Rouge Coco Shines Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Chanel Ingenue Rouge Coco Shine ($34.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a soft, yellow tangerine with a glossy shine. On lips, it looked like gold-shimmered peach, and because it was semi-opaque, my natural lip color seemed to mute some of the brightness of the color. Because of the lightness of this shade, it didn’t look as even applied as some of the other shades I’ve tried. It lasted three and a half hours, which is short of average, but was slightly moisturizing while I wore it. Chanel Sentiment is similar but less glossy. Edward Bess Forbidden Flower is warmer, more opaque. MAC Shy Girl is less warm-toned. MAC In a Heartbeat is pinker. See comparison swatches.

Interlude Rouge Coco Shine ($34.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a warm-toned, pink-coral with a soft shine. It wasn’t as glossy as Ingenue. It had semi-opaque color with some translucency but quite a bit of color–true to the finish and feel of the Rouge Coco Shine, but with more amplified color, as promised. This shade wore three hours on me, as the formula of the Rouge Coco Shines tends to be very creamy and slick (and while very comfortable to wear, shorter on wear). Chanel Sentiment is warmer. Tom Ford Frolic is similar but more shimmery. NARS Montego Bay is more matte. MAC Reel Sexy is lighter. MAC Razzledazzler is slightly less pink. MAC Ever Hip
MAC Coral Bliss is pinker, lighter. See comparison swatches.

If you like the feel of lipstick-lip balm hybrid products but found Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine to be lacking in pigment, you may enjoy the new additions to the range, which were all designed to have more pigmentation.  The consistency is creamy, slick (almost wet but not quite), and lightweight.  It’s a comfortable formula to wear, but you may need to reapply more frequently than with a more traditional lipstick.

They look a lot alike on you 🙂 Ingenue is a pretty nude on you. I’d prefer Interlude(if i could have one :))) because I love corals and how it’d look a lot like in the tube on me and that it’s shimmerless 😀

I agree and while I love both of these colours, I think the YSL product, Rouge Volupte Shine, is a superior product. YSL has better pigmentation while still maintaining that beautiful light texture and shine.

I love the Rouge Coco shine formula but these two would be too sheer for me, I personally prefer bolder colors in general, but for nudes they are nice.

Hello Christine!! I’m a avid follower of yours, and i totally admire your blog! I make referance to it every time i make a beauty purchase.. On that note,( im not sure if this is the right place to put such a comment) ever since you renewed the design of the blog, its harder to view it on the phone! It sometimes doesnt zoom out when the phone is vertically placed… I have an iphone 5, im not too sure if its a problem that is only happening to me 🙁
I thought it might be helpful to tell you!
Is anybody else experiancing the same thing? Or is it just me lol
