Chanel Delice (78) Joues Contraste Powder Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Delice (78) Joues Contraste Powder Blush
Chanel Delice (78) Joues Contraste Powder Blush ($43.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a pale, aqua-shimmered white highlighter. In the promo photos, it looked more minty green, and in real life, it looked nearly white except for a very faint hint of green–but at a glance, it looked mostly white. Giorgio Armani Moonlight White #1 is similar. Chanel Lumiere Sculptee de Chanel is less shimmery. See comparison swatches.
I worried that such a pale color would turn chalky or ashy against my medium skin tone, but it actually worked quite well as a highly reflective, shimmered highlighter, so I was happy to see it will be something that not just very fair complexions can use. The texture was soft, finely-milled, and easy to blend on the skin. In the photo below, I wore it on top of my cheek bones and lightly on my nose and brow bone. It is somewhat buildable, so you can go from a very translucent, almost finishing-like effect to a more obvious shimmer-sheen finish (like I wore on cheeks). A heavier application did emphasize pores slightly that was visible at a close distance but not from afar, while a lighter application gave a soft all-over glow without emphasizing any imperfections. It lasted well for seven hours, and after eight hours, it looked slightly patchy.

I was waiting for your review of this Christine. I got it through chanel.com and LOVE it! I’m glad you liked it as well. 🙂
YAY! I’m so pleased it’s beautiful! I wanted it from the moment I laid eyes on it but didn’t want to buy until I’d seen reviews. Thank you. Can’t wait to get it.
awesome blush!!!
I like this! I think I’ll pick one up. Thanks!
Looks good to on you, Christine! 🙂
Christine is this similar to NARS Albatross?
Albatross is much warmer and more shimmery!
Love it! Can you think back to Cantecaille Rose Petals? Very similar?
I think Chantecaille’s is sheerer in a way – like it’s more naturally translucent with finer shimmer.
Love this! I think I want to pick it up soon!
Oh no, a silvery, cooler-toned highlighter…my kryptonite. And with entrance exams next week, I can easily convince myself it’s necessary to indulge after all that stress. Chanel, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE. D:
Christine, your skin looks flawless! Do you by chance remember what foundation you’re wearing here?
Urban Decay Naked Skin + Naked Finishing Powder
The overall look on the cheeks reminds me of MAC Lightscapade
I got this one too…I love to work with other JC blushes..
very beautiful shimmers…which make u feel happy:D
Is this blush available in Europe? France to be precised.
Hi Latica!
My understanding is that this collection originally launched in Spring for Europe!
Thank you for your answer but unfortunately thats not the case. It is from Les Delices du Chanel 2013 collection (Asia exclusive), You can also find it at Nordstorm but it was not part of Europe spring collection 🙁
I’m so happy you did this review, I would have never would have picked up this wonderful product! Did you use the brush that came with the product?
I used MAC’s 159 for the most part! Chanel’s brush works, too, but I prefer a longer handle!
