I did not have any! Maybe anti-inspiration? I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup growing up, and I didn’t really have an interest in it either (so it wasn’t a huge point of contention that I couldn’t wear it), but as soon as I tried it for myself, I fell in love!

I wouldn’t say I’ve TOTALLY forgot about them, but I recently used some Make Up For Ever Artist Eyeshadows and remembered just how amazing they were!

That’s so tough! If I’m doing a full face, mascara can’t be skipped. I want to say brows, too, because they really alter the way everything comes together for me, but mascara is an absolute must! If I’m doing a less makeup-heavy routine, brows for sure!
I like that they have started to branch out a bit more–at least we’re seeing some deeper lip colors–but I’d like to see them do that across products, like eyeshadow, blush, concealer ranges, etc. I do feel like they are trying to respond to customers, as they had a pretty quick turnaround of additional shades of Shape Tape, after it got popular. I wish they’d put out less mega sets and curate higher quality sets that are smaller but better and more functional.

I don’t think I’d personally go for an emerald green eye with an emerald green shirt and pants situation, but I definitely coordinate and take some of the colors or undertones of what I’m wearing into my eye makeup! Like I might have a bit of aqua on my shirt, so maybe I’ll do teal...
