As for things like blush, eyeshadow and lipstick…not too often for me and when I do, it means I love it. But concealer, foundation, powder, mascara and eyeliner …it is much more common for me to hit pan. I use those items daily and don’t have as many !

It Cosmetics’ Hello Light Anti-Aging Powder Illuminizer.
I really like the ‘no glitter’ illumination this product gives but I think I hit pan so soon because the product is so ridiculously soft.

Still the same answer as last year, the year before that and the year before that – MAC Desert Rose blush and only because, for a very long time, it was the only blush I used. I was trying to hit pan on MAC Orb eyeshadow because I just want to be rid of it but I gave up on that!

Wet ‘n Wild Reserve your Cabana bronzer. I mus have had it for about a year now. It is the first ever product I hit pan on since I started to use makeup almost daily in 2011!

I also almost finished a mini lipstick earlier but not sure if that counts as a pan. 🙂

I have a sizable amount of makeup now but I am able to see some dips in most of my eyeshadows. I guess there is some hope that I might finish at least some and now waste my money buying amounts that I cannot ever use!

Urban Decay Sin highlighter has just a tiny spot. But I’ve hit major pan on MAC eyeshadow in Shroom… I’m still using the tiny bit on the outer edge though. I think that’s the first eyeshadow I’ve actually hit pan on that I can remember

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder. I have been using it for years, and I’ve used up countless pans. I bought a ton of backups when it was discontinued, but I dread the day it runs out and I have to find a new match, ugh.

Ulta eyeshadow in Bone- I discovered this shadow by mistake and purchased it instead of another shade I was thinking of but I love it way more than the initial shadow I was looking for. It’s perfect for my warm fair skin as light powder concealer (this stuff is pigmented!!!!!) or as a beautiful base on my lids that covers discoloration and veins.

I hit pan on two products pretty much simultaneously – Nars Orgasm blush and Benefit Hoola powder.

I already purchased a replacement Hoola since that’s the only product of that type I use, but undecided about buying a replacement for Nars Orgasm only because I have so many blushes to get through and the weather is turning colder so I’m opting for deeper colored blushes. I’ll probably buy a replacement in the spring unless a good sale comes about before then.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light. I use it as both a setting and finishing powder — it just makes my skin look beautiful! Occasionally I’ll use Diffused Light or Mood Light instead, but otherwise I use it every day.

Fran Avatar

It’s between fair and light (I usually have to mix fair and light shades of foundation), kind of NW20-ish, with cool undertones (the powder is warmer than I am, but it still looks good on me).

MAC Phloof! eyeshadow
MAC Blanc Type eyeshadow
Chanel Double Perfection Lumiere compact powder in 35 Beige Rose – and of course they are not making this anymore and the new “replacements” are not as good for coverage and they colors are extremely different ?

MAC Studio Finish concealer. It’s not really the look I want now so I am trying to figure out how to repurpose it. But I got a lot of use out of it!

Hmmm. I THINK it was a tie between my pan of NARS deep throat, and MAC Wedge! (I’m on my third pan of Wedge, and as I said I hit pan a few days ago!! 😀 )

the last in a pan product I hit pan on was probably the NYX HD pressed powder which I no longer like, it developed a hard surface over top so I tossed it. I did just finish my HG chapstick though. It’s the nivea a kiss of milk and honey lip balm. Really trying to go hard at my too faced chocolate soliel bronzer though!

Glenda Avatar

I’m actually actively trying to get through some products and am making serious progress on LORAC Nude, MAC Blanc Type and Wet N Wild Brulee.
I use all the nude-ish colors to blank out my coloring on my lids before placing other colors.

Tatiana Avatar

I also hit pan on Burberry Trench eyeshadow. Kinda bummed since they updated their shadows and I need to find a dupe for this as it’s my go-to base shadow color.

The Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder. I don’t know if there is more than one shade of this but I couldn’t see a colour name. I just hit pan on it yesterday but I wouldn’t say I’ve used it a whole lot. I still think I prefer loose powder although pressed is more convenient for on-the-go and when you’re in a rush!

Lea Avatar

Was it nude in color or more pastel? There are different versions of the Bobbi brightening powders but they’re pretty different from each other. She also has loose versions but those are single shades in more correcting colors depending on what you’re trying to offset.

Maybelline FITme powder in 130. Not matte and pore less even though I’m a little bit of a greasy girl- I loved it to set my eye primer and concealer under the eyes, and I’m kind of bummed because I swear the colors have changed a bit since last year. Oh well, now I understand the need for backups. 🙂

Laura Mercier eyeshadow “Buttercream”. It makes your skin look better so you can either wear it alone or as a base color. Doesn’t make my eyes itch and lasts well.

UD powder foundation, Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder, and the bronzer part of Naked Flush palette in Streak for me. Just opened my replacement for the UD powder foundation that I use as extra spot coverage sometimes, but I wish I’d waited or thought about going a shade lighter since I’m a bit paler now. Going to try to use another bronzer soon to keep the blush and highlighter intact but I may end up repurchasing Flushed Streak for convenience since the trio palette is my go to for busy mornings. I rarely hit pan on blushes because I wear it sparingly so that’s not really economical for me. I just like the convenience of popping open 1 palette that works so much though.

HMNNNN I don’t think any product except maybe a lipstick tube. Maybe its partially because of my OCD and being a make up geek, if I really love a brand or product, I purchase at least 3 more. Mostly because of fear the make up either being discontinued or out of stock.

Bonnie Avatar

There’s a few recent ones…My Chanel Lumiere D’ete Bronzer was just 2 days ago. Also, my Milani Honey Lemon lip oil, my So Susan jello shot cheek/lip stain in Hangover, and my Nars Orgasm Blush. I guess when I get a face product I love, I stick with it, while I experiment a lot more with eye and lip products. Oh, I forgot, my Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder too, although I hate the sponge applicator it came with. I use a brush.

Just a few days ago I hit pan on my Too Face Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Pressed Powder. I like it but I want to try a different one next; I’ve seen so many different ones mentioned on here that sound good!

Laura Avatar

Loose DIY finishing powder and Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy (sample size tube). I’m now working through RCMA No Color Loose, Paula’s Choice Resist Flawless Finish Pressed, and L’oreal Color Match Pressed powders. They all serve different purposes, I swear. The only makeup products I’ve ever hit pan on have been face powders, primers, and concealers, but I’m going to actively start panning in some other categories as my collection has gotten a bit overwhelming for me and a few things are definitely going to go bad if I don’t get moving!

Schuschubaby Avatar

NARS Laguna bronzer. Last summer I purchased the “larger” size, approx. 4 x 6″. Not sure if it contained more product or if it was just more spread out; hit pan in 2 weeks. Never done that before.

Natalia Avatar

MAC Blank Type eyeshadow is showing some metal. Also, I am almost done with MAC Honey Love lipstick. Don’t know what to do – looove this lipstick so much, but since the new Liptensity are coming soon I think I’ll end up getting one of the nudes as replacement. We’ll see.

Is it just me? I get excited when I hit pan! I really got my money’s worth out of that item AND it’s almost time to justify buying something new. Woo hoo!
Mine would be IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation. It’s great at not settling in to fine lines when I touch up mid-day, and adds a little extra coverage over my foundation. Will definitely re-purchase.

Silvia Avatar

Cover Girl Clean foundation in ivory and Body Shop foundation. The Cover Girl color surprised me it looked rather pink but in skin went very natural and smooth. I will buy these two again. Body Shop one had full coverage and very good quality. I tried L’Oréal Infallible dewey kind and Lumi also great! On eyeshadows, blush and lipsticks I doubt I’ll ever hit Pan since I have lots and rotate every day.
