Matte Eyeshadow

The softer and more blendable a formula is, the more powdery and less pigmented it is, so there are a lot more trade-offs to get the right coverage level while still ensuring it’s easy to work with!

Do you get more use out of eyeshadow palettes or eyeshadow singles?

Do you get more use out of eyeshadow palettes or eyeshadow singles?

Eyeshadow palettes for me at this point, as it’s easier for me to return to and pull out a palette than use single shades (since I’m usually behind enough in organization that a range is either perfectly organized or perfectly disorganized). I suspect that in a post-blogging world, I’d get...

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick Swatches (Spring 2019)

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick ($38.00 for 0.11 oz.) saw a shade extension of at least 12 shades (at least, what was available at Neiman Marcus when I purchased them; Sephora has less, YSL shows a couple more I don't recognize), which I've swatched for you in this post...

Have you ever struggled to use something because it was limited edition or discontinued?

Have you ever struggled to use something because it was limited edition or discontinued?

Many years ago, probably to some degree here and there, but now? Not really. It’s so rare that I finish anything outside of base/complexion/skincare/etc. type products that I might as well use it before it goes bad, especially for products like lipstick and gloss!

Have you ever truly regretted not purchasing something?

Have you ever truly regretted not purchasing something?

The only product that I can recall is Chanel Jade Le Vernis, which was many, many years ago, and I’m not really upset about it now but it was definitely “the one that got away” for awhile. These days, I think there are so many products coming out at all times that it’s easy enough to move...
