Laura Mercier Rouge Essentiel Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is supposed to have "high-impact long lasting color with a satin finish" and comes in 30 shades. This is not that new of a formula, but I didn't have time to swatch and review when it debuted... and now I do, so here are swatches!
I really do love both and see a place for both in my routine/collection, but I definitely reach for pre-made palettes more often if I am returning to something… probably out of ease.

ColourPop Colour Stix ($6.00 each) is available in 16 shades--matte and shimmer--and are oversized pencils that can be used as eyeshadow, primer, or eyeliner. The formula was somewhat inconsistent with a few being better than the rest, but they weren't particularly impressive.
I keep my singles by brand, so it tends to me if I want to do a particular set of colors and don’t want to open a bunch of pre-made palettes, then I’ll go to brand xyz and pick and choose what I need. I don’t spend a lot of time with singles unless I am testing new ones, though.
