Burberry Orchid Pink, Nude, Camellia Kisses Sheer Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Orchid Pink (213)
Burberry Orchid Pink (213) Kisses Sheer Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a soft, light-medium pink with warmer undertones and a pearly sheen. The color coverage built from semi-sheer to medium (two layers). The lipstick had a lightly creamy, balm-like consistency that melted as I glided it across my lips, and it deposited even coverage, despite having a moderate amount of slip. It didn’t smooth out my lip lines as nicely as some shades have in the range, and there was a touch of product that sat in my deeper lip lines in the close-up photo but that I couldn’t see in person. This shade lasted well for four hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview
$34.00/0.11 oz. - $309.09 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "buildable colour" with a "satin finish" and "continuous hydration." They have medium, buildable coverage with some shades having more semi-opaque, buildable coverage. I found that "a layer" depended on the shade, as some seemed to go on more heavily--and looked more like a cream finish--and others were more emollient, a bit thinner, and translucent and had more of a stained-like finish. The brand recommended "two to three" layers for more "intense depth and vibrancy." For all swatches, I applied two layers, and in each shade's respective review, you'll find the coverage range described. Generally speaking, though, they definitely weren't ultra-sheer in one layer; two layers was only needed for more opaque coverage with most shades.
The consistency was more emollient with noticeable slip, which made it easy to apply across my lips, but they can feel like they're melting as you apply. In my experience, this can lead to over-applying product, so it's just something I'm more aware of while applying this type of formula to ensure that I don't layer on too much product. Most shades applied evenly, but a fair number of them had slight settling--the kind that I can see in the close-up photos but not so much just looking in the mirror--to more noticeable settling in my lip lines due to how much slip the formula had. The slip made them comfortable, like a juicy lip balm, and the hydration was there throughout wear and my lips didn't feel dry or tight for hours after the color had worn off. They lasted between three and five hours on me with some of the richer, deeper hues leaving behind subtle stains.
There wasn't any noticeable scent or taste. Burberry's lipstick cases close magnetically, which I've found keeps the caps on very securely and ensures that it always closes when you put the cap back on!

Nude (221)
Burberry Nude (221) Kisses Sheer Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium, rosy beige with soft, warm undertones and a luminous sheen–seemed to have the barest amount of pearl and a glossy sheen. It had buildable coverage from medium to mostly opaque (two layers) that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips. There was a smidgen of product that sat in my deeper lip lines but wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance. The texture was lightweight, creamy and balm-like with moderate slip. It stayed on well for four hours and was hydrating over time.

That Nude looks lovely. All of them look great on you Christine.
I really love Camellia. It might be a tad too light in shade for me to wear it in a nice way. I have such pigmented lips that they often change the shade of the lipstick applied and definitely don’t look as nice wearing off as my natural lip colour starts to peak through. I do wear a lip liner frequently so that might make this doable. Will have to check it out as it really is a nice shade for spring.
The Nude (221) looks lovely, might have to try it on.
These new Burberry lipsticks are killing me. Nude is such a killer shade. I hope it’s still available when I’m buying lipsticks again… in a year.
Orchid Pink is a soft spring shade, they are all beautiful.
I ‘m really surprised that i like Orchid Pink. It looks more like a balm that a lipstick. It looks great on you Christine.
Orchid Pink and Nude look so perfect in this type of formula, which to me, seems like a lipstick /gloss hybrid. Throw & go out the door easy shades.
Orchid Pink and Nude are pretty, but I don’t think I would like the formula
