Bobbi Brown Rose Blossom, Soft Coral, Guava Luxe Lip Colors Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Rose Blossom
Bobbi Brown Rose Blossom Luxe Lip Color ($37.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a brighter, medium plum with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. The color coverage was good, though it wasn’t quite opaque. The lipstick was creamy without being too emollient or too thin on the lips, so it adhered evenly and didn’t gather too noticeably into lip lines (but there was a touch in my deeper lip lines). It wore well for five hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview

Best Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color is supposed to have one-stroke color coverage with a hydrating, smoothing formula, and “nourishing shine.” I was impressed with the formula as a whole, as the majority of the shades were very pigmented in one pass with a creamy consistency that glided on easily. There’s a richness to the texture that does feel more “luxe” in a way.
The natural-to-luminous shine level gives lips a smoother, plumper look, while the formula itself is hydrating and many shades are longer-wearing. I noticed that the lighter shades tended to perform more poorly relative to more light-medium to medium-dark-hued shades. There was a faint floral scent (that was a surprise, I wish they had gone the unscented!), but I didn’t have issues with taste and found it very subtle on (it’s no Dior/Chanel-level scent!).
In general, I like Bobbi Brown’s lipstick formulas, and this one feels creamier and more hydrating than others, but for pigmentation, you can’t go wrong with this or the Rich Lip Color formula.

Soft Coral
Bobbi Brown Soft Coral Luxe Lip Color ($37.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a bright, medium orange with warm undertones and a cream finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in a single layer and built up for full coverage with a second layer. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and had moderate slip, which made it comfortable to apply and to wear, though it seemed to be a touch streaky along the edges and I had a bit of color sit in my deeper lip lines. The color stayed on well for four and a half hours, while the formula felt hydrating.

Guava
Bobbi Brown Guava Luxe Lip Color ($37.00 for 0.13 oz.) is a bright, medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a lightly glossy, cream finish. The color coverage was nearly opaque in one stroke; my lip freckle peeked through just slightly. It had a creamy, smooth consistency that wasn’t too thick or too thin and had noticeable slip. There seemed to be a faint amount of product in my deeper lip lines, though I didn’t notice it from a normal viewing distance. This shade wore nicely for four and a half hours and was moisturizing.

These are lovely shades and they appear very comfortable to wear. They all look gorgeous on you, Christine.
Since I already have my heart set on PMG Beautiful Creature, I won’t be getting Rose Blossom. That said; this is one gorgeous rosy plum!
The one that *could* lead to my buying a BB Lipstick is Guava! It seems to be a deeper, richer coral pink than the usual. Which means it will be very flattering on many a person, I would think?
These BB LLCs seem very reliable, as in if the color suits you, the formula will hold up. Some may be better than others, but no duds, to my recollection. Nice finish (though not as nice as Pat’s). Good job, BB.
I’m wearing Rose Blossom as we speak. It goes with everything! I quite like Guava if I had to choose between the other shades. They look lovely on you, Christine!
These are lovely! I really love rose blossom.
Hi Christine! Bobbi Brown increased the price of these Lipsticks to $37. I can’t believe that they are more expensive than the Givenchy Le Rouges! I like the first 2 shades.
Again a bunch of beauties!
Soft Coral and Guava are lovely spring shades.
Do you have any interest in the Bobbi Brown Crushed lip color? I bought one, liked it so much I bought another, liked it so much I bought a third. I never do that. I’m curious how they would fare in your rating system, which is far more disciplined than mine!
Sorry, I don’t have any, and I already spent my budget for Bobbi Brown on the Luxe Lip Colors and the Luxe Eyeshadows.
