Bobbi Brown Moon Glow Highlighting Powder Review, Photos, Swatches
Moon Glow
Bobbi Brown Moon Glow Highlighting Powder ($48.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, moderately dense powder consistency.
The powder applied well with feathery brushes as well as denser ones, and the product applied evenly to bare skin, blended out with little effort, and produced a strong sheen on my cheekbones that did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. This shade stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading slightly.

Formula Overview
$48.00/0.28 oz. - $171.43 Per Ounce
The formula is designed to give “high-impact, buildable radiance.” Most shades had medium or more intense pigmentation with moderate to intense shimmer, as some shades were more metallic and/or had fine sparkles. However, the powder buffs and diffuses particularly well and has a tendency to "melt" a bit more on the skin as a result. The texture was soft, smooth, and not too dense nor so soft that it became powdery in the pan. This formula typically lasted eight hours or so on my skin.

Looks like this popular holiday highlighter is moving into the permanent range. (I wonder if the CCO might receive the ones in gorgeous holiday compact.) I purchased the holiday Bobbi to Glow Highlighting Trio compact and one shade, Golden Bronze Glow, looks pretty close to this one. Glad to see BB highlighters continue to receive high grades!
Wasn’t moon glow part of a limited edition holiday colllection (Caviar and Rubies, maybe)? I thought that shade was gone. I’m happy to see it, since I missed the other one.
This might be a bit too yellow for my skin tone but I love how it looks on you.
How cute are you earrings?!
Way to dark for me but it looks good on you!
Hi Christine, Moon Glow sounds outstanding. Best I give it a try soon.
Cheers Sharon…
I realized tonight being the highlighter attic that I am that after this one came out there is another new one now. I have it in my cart right now at Macy’s and first needed to come see what you said about Moonglow. This particular highlighter that you’re talking about was the biggest waste of money of my lifetime. I have every highlighter known to man so as soon as they come out I’m getting them if they are for my skin tone. I have light medium skin and all indicators were that this would work for my skin tone. Not only did it not show up in pigment but it also didn’t produce a Sheen at all. It was like applying air to my face. I’m trying it again tonight and by now there’s an indent in the pan just from all of my attempts to layer 25 layers of this on to my face to get something out of it. Why is this not showing up? It looks good enough in the pan but can’t see a trace of it. Even a glow or Sheen or nothing. I thought maybe I could use it as a $50 pressed powder to powder my nose but it doesn’t work as makeup at all on my face. This cannot possibly only be happening to me. There’s no reason in this world why is champagne highlighter should not show up at all on light medium skin tone. I keep on thinking people are giving it good stars because it’s a nice brand and you’re supposed to like it but if you guys experience is anything like what I’m going through it’s a horrifying product. Literally rip off. Essentially what I purchased is something to look at in the pan that can’t be used. I would just sell it on mercari but I don’t want to do that to someone. If it didn’t show up on me I guarantee others are having this problem and for some reason not documenting it. Prior to this shade I’ve had good luck with Bobby Brown. Her new or most recent highlighter that I am debating looks so gorgeous and has good reviews but I think I’m still too scared after what happened to me with this product to buy anymore and take that huge chance with that much money. Anyway I just hope someone comes forward to corroborate what I’m saying because if it happened to me there’s no way that light to medium skin tones are getting anything out of this product. The only explanation would be that I have a bad batch perhaps I wasn’t counting on that coming from Macy’s but it’s possible. But I’m here to say it was the worst highlighter I’ve ever put on my face
