Bobbi Brown Hot Berry Lip Color
Bobbi Brown Hot Berry Lip Color ($26.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “bright, pink berry.” It’s a bright, fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and violet iridiescent shimmer. It had mostly opaque color coverage with a smidgen of translucency that enabled the natural lip color to come through (this may turn red on those with more natural red pigment in their lip color). The consistency was lightweight, creamy, and easy to apply and didn’t have any issues on or when I pressed my lips together (a problem with some of the other shades in the range). It wore well for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. Guerlain Rose Grenat (864) (LE, $51.00) is brighter, warmer. Estee Lauder Dominant (P, $30.00) is lighter. Estee Lauder Tumultuous Pink (P, $30.00) is slightly brighter. Too Faced Jelly Bean (P, $22.00) is redder. Charlotte Tilbury Velvet Underground (P, $32.00) is cooler-toned, lighter. MAC Pleasure Bomb (LE, $16.00) is more matte, no shimmer. Urban Decay Jilted (P, $22.00) is slightly redder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Bobbi Brown Lady Ruba Lip Color ($26.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “bright, reddish coral.” It’s a bold, orange-red with warm undertones and a satin finish. It was incredibly pigmented and yielded full color coverage in a single stroke. The consistency was light-to-medium in weight but applied smoothly and stayed even throughout the wear. It lasted for six hours on me, though it was neither hydrating nor drying. This is a very common color–there are a lot of extremely similar shades to it. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Bobbi Brown Watermelon Lip Color ($26.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “bright orange, pink.” It’s a medium-dark, pink-coral with subtle warm undertones and a satin finish. On me, it almost looks cool-toned, but it is a warmer pink. It had rich, opaque color payoff, and the formula felt comfortable to wear, creamy, while it applied smoothly and evenly. This shade wore well for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. NARS Kelly (P, $32.00) is lighter, more muted, warmer. NARS Grace (P, $32.00) is brighter. Marc Jacobs Beauty Wham (604) (P, $28.00) is lighter. Guerlain Insolence (144) (LE, $35.00) is cooler-toned. Chanel Melodieuse (136) (P, $34.00) is lighter. Givenchy Magnolia Organza (301) (P, $36.00) is similar. Maybelline Shocking Coral (P, $7.49) is glossier. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Watermelon is a must have, such a cute color! 🙂
Yay! Glad ya liked it!
They all look great on you! I’m loving Hot Berry.
Thank you, Valerie!
Hot Berry is my kind of color. Watermelon is nice, too.
I’m digging the name of Hot Berry, too!
All of these are stunners! Sometimes I wonder if Lady Ruba might qualify as a ‘cool orange’ rather than a ‘warm red’, so that I could get away with thinking that an orange might work on my skintone, LOL!
😀
Almost! I definitely think oranges with more red in them are easier to wear.
Hot Berry and Watermelon are very nice. So tempting!
Have you tried Bobbi Brown’s lip colors before?
What is the dusty stuff on Hot Berry and Lady Ruba? Did they come like that? Yuck…
I think they came uncapped when they were shipped to me (press samples, no box packaging), unfortunately!
Ooo I like all of these! Lady Ruba is my favorite though. That’s a beautiful color!
It’s a stunner!
I love the iridescence in Hot Berry!
Me too! 🙂
All three shades are very nice. I’d love to add Hot Berry and Watermelon to my personal stash!
You would rock them both!
I really like Hot Berry and Watermelon!!
Those seem to be the faves!
You look especially radiant and flawless in these photos, Christine! I’m envious that you’re only wearing loose powder, Maestro, and these lipsticks!!
Aww, thank you so much, Carolyn! 🙂
Which shade do you like most on you? They all suit you so well I’d love to know your favorite!
Probably Watermelon! 🙂 Followed by Hot Berry!
<3 Lady Ruba and Watermelon are beautiful colors.
Agred!
Hot Berry is exactly the type of color that’s right up my alley! It looks so lovely on you (all three do, but that’s my fave).
I’ve never tried Bobbi Brown lipsticks before. I buy mostly MAC and UD. Do they have any scent or taste? Thanks, Christine!
Bobbi Brown’s formula has no scent or taste!
Yay, I can try it then! Thank you so much! 😀
:-O
I need Watermelon in my life.
You do!
Watermelon and Lady Ruba!!!!! <3
Watermelon is my fave!
Watermelon is blowing my mind. It makes me want to go jump in a fruit smoothie lol
LOL!
They are all pretty and easily worn, I think, but Hot Berry! Hot Berry is really a looker. I feel very tempted.
I love the shimmer!
Ohhhh my myyyyy such stunning shades they are 🙂
really worth picking up
They are all so fun!
Watermelon looks lovely on you Christine! I must check BB lipsticks again, I only have one from the brand that I purchased on a total whim since I am not huge user of lip products in general, but it is total and utter love, it is called Nectar and it is sooo becoming to my complexion, I have no idea if it is still available, but it is creamy and easy to apply without seeping through fine lines, I just love it
Nectar is a gorgeous shade! 🙂
Hi, watermelon is a permanent or limited editipn shade? Thanks!
Bobbi Brown’s site listed it as permanent!
I like the dupes more but I’d like to try one of her nude lipsticks sometime 🙂
They’re worth trying 🙂
