Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow Highlight Powder Review, Photos, Swatches
Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow Highlight Powder
Bobbi Brown Bronze Glow Highlight Powder ($45.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a coppery bronze with warm undertones and a golden sheen. Becca Topaz (P, $38.00) is more golden. MAC Delphic (LE, $33.00) is less shimmery. Urban Decay Strip Bronzer (P) is darker. Too Faced Jingle All the Way Bronzer (LE) is warmer. Bobbi Brown Nude Glow (LE, $42.00) is darker, browner. Disney by Sephora Golden Sands (LE, $55.00) is darker. Urban Decay Gilded (P, $26.00) is similar. Estee Lauder Topaz Chameleon (LE, $42.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
The texture is very soft and smooth–more so than many other types with a similar formula (Estee Lauder Gelees, MAC Extra Dimension, and so forth) that’s almost baked, yet infinitely silkier. It had rich color payoff that could be applied more intensely for a more bronzing effect or more subtly for a warm, glowing sheen. With the smooth, silky consistency, the powder blended effortlessly on the skin. When I tested it, the color wore well for almost eight hours before fading.

Whew! What, a, beauty! 🙂
It is pretty in the compact!
This is so pretty! Will you be reviewing Pink Glow as well, Christine?
Done and done!
I’m so happy I ordered this! It’s stunning
YAYYY! Perfect for you!
I’m so excited this product performs well and is not similar to Mac’s Magnetic Appeal extra dimension skin. I’m purchasing during the vib/Rouge sale! 🙂
Woohoo! Enjoy 🙂
I have like seven highlighters on my list right now. Is that too many? Lol.
LOL! What are your top three?
I can narrow it down to “must have now” for the Chanel Camelia (b/c it’s LE), and Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight and Nars Nico (b/c I can use the various 20% off).
I’ve been wanting the Balm Mary Lou and Cindy Lou for so long, and the Charlotte Tilbury filmstar duo for a few months, but they keep getting bumped from the top of my list by sales or things that are LE. In my mind they’re all worth having because I am very fair, and the slight differences in color make a difference on me, some doubling as blush/bronzer. But maybe I’m cRazAy.
This Bobbi B one looks beautiful but I need to stop somewhere!
Good logic, Ginny! 🙂
If you aren’t aware, theBalm sometimes pops up on HauteLook, and I swear I’ve seen both Mary Lou and Cindy Lou show up there for 50% less. theBalm has a flash sale coming up, but the sales usually crash their site, so I don’t know how likely it is to get in 🙁
I do check Haute Look but maybe will try my luck at the flash sale (I also want to try their matte palettes), thanks!
I got theBalm Mary Lou and Cindy Lou on Haute Look for only $11-12 each. I believe that I see them on the site every few months. You don’t have to be worried about it getting sold out too fast, I waited a few days before purchasing them. Even the palettes take a while before they get sold out. I also see them at Marshall on a few occasions for $11-12. If you have one near by I’d check it out.
I was worried that this would look too golden on my very fair skin, but with a light hand it gives the most amazing glow. I love it!
So glad you’re loving it, Liz! What brush/applicator do you use with it?
I really like the look of this! I think it would look nice on darker complexions as well, without looking chalky.
I agree!
Ohh that’s PERTY!
So luminous!
Love both the bronze glow & copper diamond from this collection . 🙂
Awesome! I didn’t get Copper Diamond, but I like the Pink & Bronze Glows.
I don’t love the packaging but I love how buildable this is.
The font kills it for me!
I am in the market for a new highlighter…I am so confused which to buy!!! I was thinking becca opal and a bobbi brown shimmerbrick, any suggestions? My skin is exactly your coloring, we wear the same foundations 🙂 i like options but when I get too many I can’t decide!!!
I often find Shimmer Bricks too frosty for me, so I would say something else! I love Kevyn Aucoin Celestial.
Too warm for me, I’m glad because it’s pretty nice on you! I’d hate to have to buy it lol. IF I get any shimmer this holiday, it will probably be Chanel!
I will be curious to see if Chanel winds up in your cart!
I think I’ll pass on this one. It reminds me a little of Dior’s now discontinued Amber Diamond. 🙂 The formula of these Bobbi Brown highlighters sound amazing though!
The texture is killer!
The high quality/performance of this highlight, attested by you, Christine, together with the comment of reader LIZ encouraged me to purchase it. Like her, I am fair (NW 15/20), and I had my doubts and worries concerning the possibility that it would look too bronzy on me. A big thanks!
Awesome! So glad we could all help 😀
Wow! Gorgeous. That might be a bronze highlighter that would work on pale skin. It looks perfect on you, Christine.
Thank you, Rachel!
I may have gone a bit overboard and purchased 3 of these during Sephora’s friends and family sale and after seeing this review I believe I would have done it if I didn’t before lol
Wow!! 🙂
Ohhh my god this is pretty. I’m not crazy about the shade (and is that BB on the actual package? Eugh), but WOW — that pattern is perfect! This may actually be the prettiest highlighter I’ve ever seen, Lightscapade and Clarins Face Powders included *.*
The font/text is just… bad. Something is just off about it!
This looks SO good on you! :O
Aw, thanks, Adhishree! 🙂
Is this product oversprayed or color all the way to the pan?
Goes all the way through 🙂
Hey Christine how does this compare to MAC double definition skinfinish?
Similar, just lighter and a little more shimmery! But I think with DD you can mix the two and get this.
