The formula is described as a “luxurious powder blush” with “silky smooth application” that yields a “radiant glow” and a “delicate flush of color.” The latter seems to suggest a sheerer formulation. While Hibiscus was a miss, Nectar is much easier to use and easier to forgive where it is imperfect. The texture is softer, a little dry and prone to excess powder kicking up in the pan, but it looks great on the skin and very luminous without emphasizing the skin’s texture or the look of pores. It had semi-sheer, buildable coverage (to semi-opaque) that blended out easily. The color wore well for seven hours on me before fading.

Oh yes, it does look grrreat on the skin, very pretty!
Doesn’t it? Great finish!
This is so pretty, love the shimmer!
Me too! 🙂
Hmmmm…. I’ve been eyeing this since I saw it in the swatch gallery. Swatched, it looks a LOT like my beloved Bella Bamba…but it looks like it applies darker & more fuchsia on your cheeks? Well, if I can find it, it may be worth trying out, at that price point!
It seems less warm-toned compared to Bella Bamba, I think!
I love to see you reviewing niche brands such as Black Opal. Thank you for this! Sidenote: My favorite blush of all time is Toasted Almond from Black Radiance. It’s very similar to MAC Raizin. You should check it out! 😉
Thank you for the suggestion, Miss Jae! 🙂
Nice for the price!
Definitely!
Nectar is lovely! It’s definitely a winner, and one I now want. Unlike Hibiscus, it WILL show up on me, lol!
lol!
This one is gorgeous.
It is!
This blush reminds me a lot of my beloved Bella Bamba!!! I might have to see if I can get a American friend to buy this and ship it to Canada for me!!! 😀 thank you Christine for the helpful review!!!
No problem, Shannon!
Hi Christine, The shade is very pretty but it seems like it would be great for fair complexions or maybe it just needs to be blended out more. Your eye makeup it beautiful.
Thanks!
Love summer colors.
Off the subject but when I want to buy something to support Tempptalia, nothing happens when I click on the sites. I use,a Kindle. Could that be the reason?
Hmm, it might be. If you click on the links, it should just take you to the retailer’s website, but the URL might look extra long!
