Bite Beauty Taurus Amuse Bouche Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches

Taurus
Bite Beauty Taurus Amsue Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium mauve with subtle, cool undertones and a satin sheen. It had opaque pigmentation with a lightweight, smooth consistency that was denser and firmer in the tube but yielded enough to glide across my lips without tugging. It was slightly thicker and held onto my lips well for five-hour wear that was comfortable and lightly hydrating over time. There was a touch of color that settled into my lip lines, but it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance.

Formula Overview

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable.
The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamy with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They have a herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.

Glad to see I already have two of the dupes, since these are so impossible to get my hands on.
I wonder what the run was. Consumer reviewers are beyond annoyed at not being able to get this, when they put it in the cart the minute it dropped. Bite might be gaining more foes than friends in this drama. Way too old for this crazitude. It is pretty, though.
I’m surprised they didn’t do another run of it!
If it were me, I’d do at least one restock in the middle of the month ?
This is such a nice looking, wearable shade for many. Having MAC Mmmmmm with PMG Femmebot on my WL, I don’t think this is one I need.
I feel like Bite needs more pinks in the range of permanent shades. I love Sorbet and Fig but something between those two shades and something lighter than Fig would be nice to have as well.
I really wanted this. It’s my kind of color, and I am a taurus. Thankfully I have at least a couple dupes.
Same! I’m a Taurus and I wanted this so bad, but I have the Tarte dupe so I’ll just keep wearing that ?
The first wearable one in this series and it sold out within minutes. I hope Bite doesn’t make enemies with this. I love their products, and they’re usually such a great company.
I’m not a Taurus but when I saw this color I really wanted it! Couldn’t get it so that was disappointing. I love Bite but they gotta get their shizzz together with the deman on these!
It’s a pretty shade, but any of the dupes that I have tried (Sake, Salt Lyfe) look terrible on me, so I am glad I passed on Taurus.
It’s quite an unusual shade – reading the comments above I can see that it sold out pretty quickly.
Maybe the brand didn’t expect such a rush – at least there are plenty of affordable dupes for this lippie.
These all seem to go really fast. I was really disappointed I couldn’t get my Aries one last month.
I Don’t get why its so limited? I really wanted this one. I wanted the aries one too just because I’m aries. I have backtalk so I guess that will meet color need.
My daughter’s birthday is 4/20. I woke up at 1:20 AM CDT and tried to get the lipstick because I missed out on some other launches in the past. Around 11 :45 I scored it. I hope she loves it. Her birthday has been forever blemishrd because of Columbine and I wanted her to have an extra special birthday. I feel really bad for all the others who weren’t lucky enough to get the lipstick. It seems especially mean to those who are born under the sign of Taurus as I know they are great lovers of beauty!
It’s my kind of shade. Fortunately, I already have three of the dupes: Salt Lyfe, Backtalk, and Oui.
Ah, the one that got away. Due to crazy Sephora drama. I had the most amazing cart with this and the Natasha on sale. Then order cancelled with no notice. Apparently because of what they are a calling a charge back I can’t order online! There was a duplicate charge months ago, their error obviously, which my CC co took care of, and now they say I have to pay them back?!?! for the double charge to be able to order online. So over Sephora….. Bummer though because I’m a Taurus and I love this color. Oh well…. saved me $ on the VIB sale. They said I can still purchase in store, and I said sure, I’ll go to Ulta. The rep just laughed.
Really pretty on you! I love Bite lipsticks. You look great in a no makeup look.
I’m just back here patiently waiting for Scorpio 🙂
I ended up scoring one but had to return it. If it was just a bit darker, it would have been perfect. Very sad! I was so excited about it! And I am a Taurus!
Beautiful!
