Bite Beauty Aries Amuse Bouche Lipstick Review & Swatches
Aries
Bite Beauty Aries Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a rich, orange-red with warm undertones and a satin finish. It read (red!) more orange than red on me by a hair, and it did seem to look slightly rustier as time went on and not quite as bright once the sheen faded down to a more soft matte finish (about two hours of wear). The consistency was smooth, creamy with a touch of tackiness so that the lipstick doesn’t tug during application but the color goes on evenly and adheres well to the lips for longer wear. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly and stayed on well for over six hours. The formula was hydrating while worn.
Per Bite’s Instagram, it didn’t sound like they were planning on restocking at Sephora, but they did state that there would be an additional (limited) quantity available on their own website later in April, when they launch their e-commerce site.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable.
The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamy with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They have a herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.

I feel like a fool making sure I wake up early enough once a month so that I am able to get these before they sell out, but thus far Bite have really knocked these Astrological shades out of the park. Even by the high standards of the Amuse Bouche line, these are great. I’m hopeful Bite will do with these what they did with their monthly lip lab releases, and bring them all back for an encore at the end of the year.
The lipstick is gorgeous but your eye look drew me in here. I thought it was going to say it was the new Pat McGrath 6-pan palettes. So surprised!
So fiery and a sexy summer shade of lipstick! *If* I subscribed to astrology and *if* I had been born on my expected due date, this would have been a huge “YASSS!” But neither one applies. Therefore, I’m content with using my tube of Lady Danger and a smidge of Morange added to get there.
I was going to buy this one but as soon as i remembered, it was already out of stock. such a bummer!
But, I’m not one to stay up late or to set an alarm and hurry for a limited edition item or discounts.
I think I’m going to have to buy this even though it’s not something that I’d ever pick out myself. It’s a bit out of my comfort zone. But t’s my sign and will probably be good with my coloring. I think if I wear it like more of a stain I can comfortably pull it off.
Ok, I’m going to TRY to get this one! ?
I think it’ll look super pretty on you!
(I like to use a darker or mid red lip liner, filling in the corner of my lips too, for bright orange-reds. It kinda softens and ombres.)
Etail site? Really? Hoping they don’t forget that they are Canadian, bec you can bet your (insert choice here) that it will be available in the states… they have a lab in nyc, right? This could be good news.
Beautiful shade, but I have dupes..I especially love the eye look, Christine!
I cannot get over how stunning you look here, Christine. That eye look with the lip is everything.
I’m so surprised! The eye look ended up being significantly darker than I anticipated, and I was so upset because I knew I had some lip swatches to do but my eyes are really sensitive right now and would flare up all red and angry if I tried to redo, lol.
I say it’s a happy accident! You always rock bronzes.
I’m an Aires baby, was thinking be fun to have the lipstick but I just don’t know about the color
