MAC Velvet Mattes Collection included nine deep, vampy shades of lipstick with “matte” finishes, though I’d say more like a satin to natural finish with fine pearl throughout most shades in the collection. I think they did fairly well, given that they were more comfortable than not, very rich in pigmentation, and deep in hue. Some shades had room for improvement, though I suspect that a fair number of people will pair these deeper shades with lip liner to get really crisp, clean edges, which would solve some most of the issues.

These are mighty fine. Will have to refrain, perhaps. 2 dupe rule was invoked on a fair amount…on the first two listed! How omg. Not sure i’ve read them all, so will have to find one that’s not duped to kill. These are terrific, for those of us who like dark lips.

I got both Beatrix and Velvet Rebellion. I love them both. I’m really into the dark shades this fall and these are totally what I’m loving!
