Best & Worst of ColourPop x Candy Land ColourPop Land Collection

Here’s a round-up of my reviews for the recently-released ColourPop x Candy Land ColourPop Land Collection, which featured a 10-pan eyeshadow palette, three Lip Balms, one loose highlighter, and three cream blushes. The collection was more of a miss for me and definitely wasn’t the brand’s strongest collection (might have been one of the weaker ones!).

Looks like there wasn’t much standout in this collection. Too bad! The idea is cute but the execution was strange. Also might have been more suited for a winter/spring release IMO.
Since I have a very strong feeling that this was probably already in the works all the way back at the beginning of the pandemic, I’m concerned about dried up SSC’s. Otherwise, I’d perhaps pick up Gumdrop Pass and Let’s Chill. As for that palette, YIKES. Much too washed out and powdery for most folks, I’d imagine. Something CP has become more and more guilty of doing lately.
All of a sudden, my SSSs dried up, too. I got some ?mixing medium? Called ATTN! From Amazon. It works quite well for all the isododecane purposes: reviving mascara, SSS, etc.
It’s good, but had a wonky paper shipping/storage label smushed on unevenly and had no box/plastic seal. Um. No. This is Covid, after all, so I can’t rec it. Plenty of similar fish in the sea. I think I’m going to use each SSS once, then toss. Only replacing a few, unless they’re duped here. Also going to do a glambot soon. Deliberate dwindling of stash.
I think the blushes were the best, particularly Jolly – such a great shade.
