Best Products of the Week | Vol. 350

Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.

What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

  • Your skin tone/coloring:
  • What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?:
  • What was the hero product of the week for you?:
  • Any products you want to use next week?:

Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I didn’t really have one; it’s been so hot here and I’ve been at the gym pretty much every day (there’s a competition going on and it’s brought out my competitive streak) so makeup’s been pretty minimal and certainly not exciting.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Lise Watier SunSmart. Honestly, it is such a great product and leaves even my bare skin looking velvety and almost “filtered”.
Any products you want to use next week?: I want to get into some of my grey shadows. I don’t know why, since it’s hot, hot, hot and grey seems a very fall/cool weather eyeshadow colour to me but I guess I’ve been watching tv shows where I see nice and subtle grey eyeshadow looks. I also want to play with Becca Nightingale blush to see how I can tame it during application so I’m not having to buff my face repeatedly so I don’t look like I’m on fire!

What was the hero product of the week for you? I wanted something for weekends when I’m out running errands for a couple hours and don’t want to use my regular $50 foundation, so I tried L’Oreal Infallible 24 Hour Fresh Wear Makeup based on all the good reviews it gets. It held up surprisingly well for a drugstore foundation and didn’t oxidize on me. Another drugstore hero: Milani Color Fetish Matte lipstick in the shade Tease is not only a beautiful, long-wearing neutral shade, but the packaging is pretty, too.

Any products you want to use next week? I want to try more color combinations using the LORAC Pro Eyeshadow Palette 4.

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: It was a BANGER thanks to Lethal Cosmetics!
Eyes: ColourPop Love Not (from Ur A QT) as my transition, MAC Indian Ink crease, outer V and outer lower lashline, Viseart Coy #9 tearducts, Lethal Singularity on entire inner half of lid and lower inner lashline, Lethal Exosphere on outer lid and lower outer lashline over Indian Ink, followed up with my usual black upper tightliner pencil, winged liner and waterproof mascara.
Cheeks: Huda Beauty Glowing Bronzer in Tan Light (?), Lethal Ornamental blush (DANG, that one packs quite the punch!), and PML Golden Nectar highlighter because I very stupidly forgot that I had Haus Labs Pink Amethyst Bio-Radiant Highlighter, which would have looked so much better!

Any products you want to use next week? Same look as above, but with Haus Labs Pink Amethyst paired up with Lethal Ornamental!
