Best Products of the Week | Vol. 344

Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.

What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

  • Your skin tone/coloring:
  • What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?:
  • What was the hero product of the week for you?:
  • Any products you want to use next week?:

Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Your skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral to cool undertones, dark brown eyes and grey hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I am not sure what I used as I played with new products all week. I know I used my EL Futurist Foundation, my MAC Into the Pink blush and I used all three of my newest palettes which were the PMGL Bridgerton, ColourPop Coast to Coast and Clearly In Love palettes, just mixing the colors to have a good play. I have been trying to do that more just to reignite my love of makeup and all the products that I have. In general, I am not a big lip gloss wearer, preferring lipsticks and my Nuxe balm but I did pick up two of the ColourPop lip glosses in the shades Lucid Dreams and No Joke. I really like both of them and I am enjoying the formula also. They are a bit thicker than a number of glosses that I have and that seems to make them wear better on my lips. I am a real lip worrier so lip products don’t last a long time on me but these have proven to be a hit, for me.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: I have to say, my Bridgerton palette has been my favorite of the week. It isn’t a stand alone palette for me but the shadows just apply so beautifully, wear beautifully and I liked how they looked even mixing with ColourPop. You have to see the humor in mixing PMGL and CP together!
Any products you want to use next week?: Nothing right now but since I will be in Seattle by next week I am sure there will be products to play with!

Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: It was the one I used when I was meeting up with my former colleagues for lunch. Needless to say, the weather was being tricky and I had to make a decision about what I was wearing before I put on my eye makeup (which is last in my routine):
Face and Eye Primer – Nude by Nature’s Airbrush primer
Foundation: Flower Beauty’s Skin Illusion in Shell
Blush/Setting Powder: Clinque’s Melon Pop and Rimmel’s Translucent Matte
Mascara: DB’s Setting Stage
Lipstick: MAC’s Fresh Moroccan
Eyeshadows: ND’s Glam: Soft Cream, Taupe (mid tone) and a touch of gold in the crease; pop of colour – Dior’s Jardin #5 – Navy blue shade next to the lash line.
I was very happy with the result.

What was the hero product of the week for you?: I would say MAC’s Fresh Moroccan lipstick because it works with all of my burgundy accents in my autumn clothes and it is just a beautiful lipstick to wear.

Any products you want to use next week?: I think I will have a look at Naked 2 again…

Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, warm brown hair.

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?:
two looks! One with my Huda Rose Quartz palette – https://www.instagram.com/p/CcxwEBEggRH/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
And another with my Blend Bunny Dollhouse palette and some special singles – https://www.instagram.com/p/Cc8Nsn3LfF0/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

What was the hero product of the week for you?: I never really have one; I switch things out too often.

Any products you want to use next week?: I’ll be in the office for most of the week; so I may keep things a little more toned down… I might stick with my Dollhouse palette and special singles to keep it easy. If I can stick to one thing for that long!
