Phytosurgence Magnetic Maple & Oxidized Olive Cream Shadows Reviews & Swatches
Magnetic Maple
Phytosurgence Magnetic Maple Flash Florescence Cream Shadow ($17.07 for 0.14 oz.) is a light, slightly warmer taupe with a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well with a fingertip or a brush, once I got past the initial layer of product, which was a little firmer. I felt like the product applied more evenly in practice, when I tested it on my lid, than when I first swatched it on my arm (in the photo). It stayed on well for 10 hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview
$17.07/0.14 oz. - $121.93 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to dry down to a "budgetproof finish" that can be applied with "fingers or a brush" that can be used as an "accent colour" or "one and done" whether that's at full coverage or diffused for a "wash of colour."
They are pigmented in a single layer using a fingertip, but they can be built up with a fluffy brush or sheered out with fingertips or a fluffy brush for a sheerer wash of product if desired. The texture was a drier cream initially--very thin, lightweight, and had some emollience but didn't feel wet to the touch. It had about 15 to 30 seconds of working time and then dried down to a powder-like finish that was transfer-resistant.
I found the formula easy to work with as the colors went on evenly, blended out nicely along the edges, and didn't settle into fine lines/creases as they dried down. They wore eight to nine hours on me before creasing faintly.

Oxidized Olive
Phytosurgence Oxidized Olive Flash Florescence Cream Shadow ($17.07 for 0.14 oz.) is a light-medium, taupe-brown with warmer undertones and a smooth, pearly sheen. It was richly pigmented when applied with a fingertip and sheerer when applied with a brush, though it could be sheered out with a fingertip or built up with a brush as desired. The texture was smooth, dense without being too firm, and creamy enough to blend out without difficulty but still set quickly. It wore well for 10 hours on me before showing signs of fading.

Gosh, these are both so pretty!!
Oxidized Olive could be a nice little one ‘n done shadow…well, almost. Of course, I would have to bring in my usual browbone shade and something to define my nearly non-existent crease!
These are stunning! Both shades are the perfect neutrals to go with just about anything. I love the smoothness of the finish too. Just gorgeous.
Maple Flash looks gorgeous! I may have to try Phytosurgence if this is their quality.
I haven’t heard too much about this brand. What is everyone’s opinion about them?
I had only heard rave reviews from some long-time blogging friends, which is why I tried them! I haven’t been disappointed yet.
Thanks for letting me know
What beautiful shadows. My only problem would be that just about EVERY cream type shadow I’ve ever purchased (except some from Clarins and Lise Watier which were more cream-to-powder) is that they dry out long, long before I ever finish them. Inglot Duraline helps, but only so much (and it’s not easy to get where I am). So I’ll check for powder dupes for these.
Lovely!
So far I’ve not bought from this brand. Maybe it’s time soon.
Just placed an order with two eyeshadows you recommended and one moisturizer. It was hard not to buy more, but I don’t want to go overboard with cream products.
Let us know how they work for you! I keep meaning to try their skincare (I believe that was their original product!).
They are a very low key brand. See their response to a question on their website
8. Do you send PR or collaborate with content creators/influencers?
Nope. Unless you’re Celine Dion, then yes Celine take anything you want for free you Canadian queen. But otherwise, it doesn’t matter even if you have 10 million followers, the answer will forever be nope (politely and respectfully). Not that there is anything wrong or bad with brands doing PR, but it’s just not part of our marketing plan. We understand that it probably means our product gets into fewer hands and fewer people hear about them, but we’re ok with that.
