Best Products of the Week | Vol. 331
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

I didn’t do anything past skin care this week as I have been battling a sinus infection and the accompanying headache but had to mention that I so badly want to buy the PMGL Diamond of the First Water and the Chanel Berry Boost. I am fighting it so hard but may cave if it is still available. I keep checking everyday and actually hoping it has sold out so that I won’t be tempted. I try not to look but usually cave in. It is so pretty. Has anyone else purchased it? Do you love it? I know you reviewed it, Christine and it scored very well but is there anything unique about it that will make me regret not buying? I am trying to avoid FOMO!!
Think of the many pinks it contains. Never mind that ir looks pretty, there are a lot of pinks in the palette!
I don’t have much to say against Berry Boost except that it’s in a jar. Probably just me, but I don’t like having to use fingers with lip products and I don’t much like doing my lips just using a brush.
Did this help?
No? I I really didn’t think it’d work. 😀
Typo in this comment as well, setting a record today. 🙁
Ir should be it, of course.
My typing skills are terribly bad!
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Not many makeup looks this past week due to the moving and the heat, but I did go out with my best friends on Friday and I used ND’s Glam – with a champagne shade on the whole lid, a soft grey on the mobile lid and a darker grey next to the lashline. I paired it with Clarins Joli Rouge Red Terra lipstick.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Sunscreen – La Roche Posay’s 50+
Any products you want to use next week?: By Terry’s Bonjour Paris.
I also used ND Glam this week. It’s a nice quite versatile palette, I think.
I also used a light champagne-y shade in the inner corners, two shimmery greys on the rest of the mobile lid, the colour called Transition as, you guessed it, transition and one of the darker mattes ion the crease.
Clarins lipsticks are nice, I think, comfortable and comes in pretty colours.
Sorry for typo. In, not ion. Duh! My fingers slip up a lot when I type.
Everyone is moving! Unlike Deborah, I have only 1400 sq ft, but it’s so brutal. Plus, we just got 2’ of snow and I have nowhere to go! I have a bit of time left, though. 4 months of no returned requests to be considered, a realtor asking me to put my 1040 (tax return) on the internet…yeah, that’ll happen. This is worse than trying to get into Harvard with no insurance school. Everyone knows that moving is #4 on the stress list. Being 73 with 2 jobs, I’m terrified.
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, warm brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I did a look using my beloved ND Triochrome palette to match a cute pair of earrings I have. Here’s the link if you want to check it out!

What was the hero product of the week for you?: Nothing in particular.
Any products you want to use next week?: I just want to create some of the ideas I have in my running list.
That was such a pretty look, Celeste.
Your skin tone/coloring: Above. Grey-green eyes and dark brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I used ND Glam one day this week. I used a light champagne-y shade in the inner corners, two shimmery greys on the rest of the mobile lid, the colour called Transition as transition and one of the darker mattes ion the crease.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Lip balms. I must have used something my lips hated as they are sore and feel strange. The only think I imagine it can have been is a balm/gloss from By Terry that I used for a day or two, I did have to reapply a lot as the lips felt uncomfortable. Now I use balms from Weleda and they seem to help.
Any products you want to use next week?: I hope I’ll feel inspired to use anything, as most days this year have been completely makeup free.
Your skin tone/coloring: Above. I can usually range from NC35-40 depending on the time of the year even with sunscreen.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: By Terry CC Serum in Apricot Glow as a primer. Maybelline Dream Urban Cover in 128 Warm Nude for foundation. Hourglass loose powder to set. Then ColourPop Super Shock blush and shadow but I can’t remember the colors. I used an orange lipstick from Maybelline which name escapes me. I’m terrible at remembering product names. I’m desperately trying to summon warmer weather with super-warm makeup looks this week.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Definitely By Terry CC serum in Apricot Glow. It makes all my base products look so beautiful. It’s eye watering how expensive it is but haven’t found anything else quite like it yet. I’m hoping to try the Lune + Aster Glow Primer to see how it compares.
Any products you want to use next week?: I want to try the Dior Nightbird and Mirage palette. I recently acquired them but haven’t busted them open yet.
