Is it really a season if Tom Ford hasn’t released a few dozen new shades of lipstick? Last month, there were six new Tom Ford Lip Colors ($55.00 for 0.10 oz.) along with 10 new Lip Color Mattes ($55.00 for 0.10 oz.) and five, new shades of clutch-sized Metallic Lip Colors ($36.00 for 0.07 oz.).

There were also several new Satin Matte shades released, but my budget was exhausted purchasing the ones below already. If they stay permanent, maybe something I’ll review in the future!

They performed consistently with past releases with most shades having good pigmentation, applying evenly, and lasting four to six hours, but there were a few of the creamier mattes being less flattering on than they could (or should be) as they settled into lip lines or emphasized lip texture a bit.

Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Most of these look truly nice on, with the exception of the last ones listed above. The Metallic version of Wild Ginger is still pulling me in. So is Libertine and Primal. Best choice is probably Libertine, because I would use it far more often.

Insatiable and Libertine are calling my name but if I’m wearing a mask who’s going to see my lips? I still haven’t received 2 lip colors that I ordered from the Rouge Sale yet so Imma going to pass.

Didn’t this Stupida wear l/s to retail night job today? I can’t believe I really put it on. It wasn’t on, when I took the mask off, lol.

Yes, I got the Wild Ginger Metallic at the Sephora sale. One of two items I got. And I wear it whenever I head outside. Just a little perking up from all of the sheltering.
